I can't find a thread for this series, so forgive me if I'm doubling up.
I picked up one of each of these sets at TRU today. They're in silvery-blue resealable pouches. The dragons are yellow(stone), red(fire) and black(lightning) respectively, with some armor (helmet, shoulders, arms, tail & greaves), and each comes with an Asian figure.
The red and black dragons are the same moulding, the yellow one is different, which leads me to think there's at least one more in the series that wasn't on the shelves.
Each dragon also includes a 'code for Dragon Online Game', but neither the game nor the sets appear to have reached the US site yet.
There are some neat new (to me) weapons including a Naginata, double-ended Katana, and a scimitar. The helmet on the klicky in 5465 is new to me too.
They were $11.99 each at TRU. Not dreadful for a klicky & a dragon, but I won't be buying multiples.

Hello Martin,
They're already on the TRU shelves and not on the US Playmobil site?
Looks like they arrived early!
Here they are ...
-
That's the ones. I didn't see a shelf tag for the Blue/Ice Dragon, but I might have overlooked it.
The dragions have klicky size hands so they can hold the usual stuff. Their lower jaws move but the heads are not otherwise articulated. Their arms and feet are articulated at the hips and shoulders. No tail movement.
Not a bad Dragon figure, but more anthropomorphic than most.
-
Not a fan of it myself, just seems rather weird.
Gues the fun part is putting other stuff in their hands for pictures. Like tea cups, a lawnmower or dentist tools.
-
Nice to hear they are showing up. They have all 4 plus the other two large dragon centric sets listed on the TRU website but not available for shipping yet.
-
Just picked up 3 bags last night. I want all the other ones for the boys as they love all the playmobil dragons. The $12 price was a bit high so I will wait till a sale for the boxed ones and multiples of the bags.
-
The boys opened up the bags and we all really like the small dragons. The ability to hold thins is great and is very useful.
One problem we had was on the red dragon the tab for the wing was broken. It would have had to happen at the factory as the spot where it was supposed to be is a bit damaged. The other is the lower mandible falls off easily. The tail armor so falls of but at least that makes sense but your jaw??
We will be getting many more dragons for our collection

The tail armor so falls off ...
Walter, you really have to push hard on the "tail armor" until it clicks. It's not easy and most children might not have the strength in their hands to do it. However, Walter, I know you and you're definitely strong enough ...

Are the wings removable? If so how are they attached, are they similar to the fairies? ???

Joe
The wings have circular holes which fit over circular studs on the shoulders, just like the winged Klickies. Not sure about Fairies' wings.
The wings can be posed within a single plane.

Thanks Martin, sounds like a different set up. Actually I am only familiar with the Christmas angel and she has a hole in her back and the wings plug in.

Hmm they look interesting the Dragons don't look at all bad but, I much prefer the warriors design they're very striking, weird sets though.
-
The armour on the dragons - can it be used on figures? Is it compatible at all to fit on klickies?
-
Yes the armor can be used on klickies. I think only the leg and tail parts are unique.
They were a bit smaller than I imagined but now that the boys are playing with them the size is quite nice in relation to a klicky.
The boys have been playing with them constantly since they opened them.

At my St. Louis, Missouri, USA - TRU store, I bought all four sets. I will buy a second set, but most likely not more.

Today, I went back to our TRU store and bought set 5481 The Dragon Battleship. I have not opened it yet, I will this weekend. I am thinking that if it is half as good as the box illustrations, I will buy a few. Wow! If Playmobil releases the same Battleship in blue/green colors. Could be great sea battles.
The red Dragon will man these ships to land an assault on the blue/green Dragonmen.

Review and pics please? It's actually on my non-buy list - now I'm curious why you think it so great.. (or maybe I shouldn't be? ::) )

I am still not sure about that boat with all its fantasy gimmicks. I would like to see it with maybe different sails or with out that fold out thing ???
Looking forward to what you come up with

Hmm, that's cool that some people have been able to get them already. Someone should post a review! I'll probably get one or two of them, though I haven't decided which yet. Aside from the similarly-themed Fi?ures, they will probably be the only sets I get from this theme (or at least this iteration of it).

.. I am not sure what to make of them dragons yet. i will reserve any comments until i see them up close ..... :hmm:
