Hi folks...!!!
Long time ago I have a dream....find a solution to make scottish.
This is impossible with the standard pieces and we need put the hands to work.
Few months ago I make a stovepipe hat for the 71º Rgth. of higlanders.....but this soldiers have not the typical image...maybe because dont use the Kilt??
Well....first step....the hats.
I see basically 3 types....the beret, beret with feathers and beret with big feathers.
To decorate this berets I use the same vinyl sticker for the stopepipes....but on the versions with feathers we have problems to put the sticker....for this reason I decided make this berets on 2 parts......a base and a top.
Also, I see there are berets with or without visor....??.....well.....I make 2 types of base.
Then....we choose a base and a top...put the sticker....glued base and top.....and Play !!!.... ;D
I finished this nigth the version with big feathers....but for the moment we can see some images of all this....go
-
Well.....combining this parts we can make 6 versions of the beret.... 8}
The next challenge is make the "kilt".....the typical scottish-skirt.
The big problem is found the good proportions....because the playmo-legs are very short.
According to the regulations, the skirt falls just above the knee.
In campaing dress they use a short gaiter....I like this option.....the town-dress without gaiter, all the leg with sock.... :-[
To decorate the Kilt....we can choose a lot of scottish designs....very hard to paint with a brush.....and I ask for help to my friend Bendalator to make some vynil stickers.
On Napoleonic Time, the Government try to apply a Standard design for all the scottish Kilt....the Black Watch....and this no coincide with any scottish Clan desing.
Nevertheless, some Clan use his own desig.....like Cameron or Gordon....
Well.....I go to make the Black Watch and this two Clan....Cameron-Gordon
We can combined 6 hats variants and 3 kilt design..... 8}
Also, I make a new british style backpack.... ;)
After this.....just need make a bag-pipe.....and the little front bag ( sporran )
I go to show the first Test with the kilt decoration....I hope you like all this....soon more pics

:o
Awesome!

Malone....after all your Napoleonics, I'm beyond surprises from Malone.... but now, this Scot....so so unbelievably perfect....I have been wishing for a Scot from Fi?ures but now, even a Fi?ures Scot comes out, it'll look pale compared to yours...down to his socks and shoes.
your skills, master of all masters!
-
Wow, those are great! Excellent work! :)

Hi again....
This nigth.....the BIG feathers version.... ;D
For me is the most beauty.....but....
I use a new texture.....less Playmo and more Malone.........I think is more real and I go to change the second hat ::)
About the dog....here on Spain is Milou....is perfect for our playmo.....this toy is from Plastoy
Richard**
I like your scottish....yes, long time ago but very beauty.
On Spain, if you paint the very rare Bobby hat.....maybe somebody kill you....ja, ja, ja.....really is a rare piece.
The solution for the Kilt is very weel done....a lot of work....but perfect.....Mine is beauty and maybe more realistic but you have shown that there are other perfectly good options.

Javier, please don't worry about the rare "Bobby hat". They are all copies that were cast in Alumilite from a mould of the original. The legs and kilt were made from a converted Playmobil figure and also cast in a mould the same way. Click http://gardenwargaming.com/howto/10.html (http://gardenwargaming.com/howto/10.html) HERE.
And, what Cheng said, "probably customed so many years back", is very true. These Scottish Highlanders were made about twenty years ago.
Javier, thanks again for your very kind words about my figures. However, you have made the process of converting Playmobil figures a real art. You are indeed the master ... :wow:
-
Excellent work! They look amazing :o
This is what I expected to see in fi?ures6. :o

¡Hola, Javier!
Have you asked Sylvia if she would mind if some us were to ask you about purchasing some of your beautiful custom pieces here in the "customs area" at Playmofriends? If I remember correctly, it was OK with Juan Miguel (Yoyei) over at Playclicks. And, it is also OK with me over at GW-PC (http://gardenwargaming.playclicks.com/forum/index.php)!
All the best,
Richard
