I found an entry for a Playmobil Annual at Book Depository.
I have never heard about any previous annuals so this may be a brand new concept. Hopefully it will be good.
It's to be published by Buster Books (personally, I've never heard of them) and will be hardback and 64 pages. The description is as follows:
This is the perfect gift for any child who is a fan of the much-loved Playmobil brand. This official Playmobil annual is packed with castles, dragons and knights. Kids will be entertained with colouring pages to complete, games to play and puzzles to solve.

Annual 2015?? :eh?:
Never heard of this before... not sure what an annual book is, but if it is for 2015 there's still plenty of time to get informed 8} I guess....
Sounds too cheap BTW :eh?:
Interesting, Wesley, thanks!

Annual means a new one comes out once a year.
Very interesting... I'd be interested to hear more about it.

oh I guessed that part :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
thanks bb. ;D
I just wondered if it was something else, you know... like a book featuring the year's releases... or some sort of yearly catalogue or something like that.-

Yeah.. I kind of thought you might know that... just making sure.

There were ancient "Annuals" in the UK.. I THINK I may have a playmobil one. Have a "Dempsey & Makepeace" one for sure

Annuals are more of a British thing. It is a special book put out once a year in hardback for a certain theme and they are all generally about the same size and oriented primarily for youth and children.
It might be comprised of a special set of stories for a character or a compilation of stories previously released in other formats. It would include special features like one page features, photos, etc. This one says it will have puzzles and colouring pages, for instance. It might have photo stories, comics, etc.
You get lots of annuals in Canada but I do not know if the USA has them. I am sure they are common in Australia and New Zealand as well. (As well as all the other British Commonwealth countries.)

I have a Playpeople Annual for 1979 but I don't know how many others there were.

Ditto! There seems very little around to do with Playpeople.

It was a 'standard' Christmas present back when I were a lad to be given an annual. We had 'Blue Peter' Annuals each year. (Blue Peter is a wholesome BBC TV programme for children, which parents usually approve of. The first Blue Peter Annual came out in 1963, which is maybe what Tahra is referring to as 'ancient'!).
Nowadays there is a wide selection of albums available in time for the Christmas market, on every current children's theme imaginable- Moshlings, Sponge Bob, The Simpsons, Dr. Who, One Direction. Horrible Histories, etc. and now ...Playmobil!

Think it's what I have too..

I must say that Rupert Annuals are a favourite of mine.
