Title: 5976 & 5977 Christmas, 5951 Dollhouse
Post by: Tiermann on August 07, 2013, 00:26:30
Was just browsing around PlaymoUSA site and I don't remember seeing these before -
5976 Santa's Home (http://www.playmobil.us/on/demandware.store/Sites-US-Site/en_US/Product-Show?pid=5976) the Forest House with a little snow and some Christmas colors and stickers. Looks like it would match up with the Christmas Market great. Only thing better would have been if they had used the Swiss Chalet instead. It doesn't really fit with my usual Steck system based castle, but I do like it a lot.
5977 Santa's Sleigh (http://www.playmobil.us/on/demandware.store/Sites-US-Site/en_US/Product-Show?pid=5977)  is the big sleigh with only 2 reindeer. Wish they would offer the reindeer and harness add-on when they do that.

Over in Dollhouse they have a new carry along Modern style house. I don't remember seeing before  5951 Dollhouse (http://www.playmobil.us/on/demandware.store/Sites-US-Site/en_US/Product-Show?pid=5951). Nice one piece modern kitchen. I rather like this one over the past similar ones.

Somewhat totally unrelated - but did you notice over in the new German advent calendar 5493 Dragon Warrior Camp that one of the figures has the dwarf legs? Excellent. That will make them available through a DS figure order eventually. Which of course means they will be perpetually out of stock. But it's a nice thought.

It's nice to see them reissue the old Santa's Sleigh....well minus two reindeer.  The set goes for a high amount on eBay so this is a steal in my opinion.

I've never seen them nor heard any news of them either.

They're not the only dwarf legs, Tim-one of these guys is a bit short too.Red legs, it will make a nice change.

Darn, you mean I missed my chance to scalp my old sleigh? Lol, I had no idea they were fetching good prices on Ebay.

New furniture, lovely!  :)

That Santa's house looks more like Santa's cabin in the woods, but I like it  ;D Minus the stickers on the front of the house, though.

Are there a lot of these short-legged clickies around? I had never noticed them before!

Oh wow, that modern house is ADORABLE!!! Love the furniture in it! Definitely going on my must-have list. Nice to see much less stuff printed on the walls. Just the windows, no furniture.

The stickers are much cooler than the old ones. That's the only part I want out of this new sleigh set.

Cool, those are very realistic-looking DVDs. I do have some DVDs, but I can't seem to find what set they are from. The spines are labeled Episode 1, Episode 2, etc, and each one has a picture from a theme on it -- forest, pirates, more pirates, and circus. These new ones look edgier though, and have actual titles.

Ooh, I *love* Santa's house, though I also probably wouldn't put the stickers on.  The stove is cute, and apparently I don't already have any elves, because those curly shoes are the most adorable thing ever, and I would surely remember if I had one of those already!

Well spotted Tim! I love the santa related Christmas themes. I too dislike too many stickers. I can also see Santa in the Alpine cabin.

I'm pretty sure the DVDs mentioned with episode 1-4 come with the living room for the current version of the modern house.

And for anyone in the UK, the 5951 Dollhouse is available at Asda.com. I just picked mine up from my local store earlier today....and the kitchen is indeed very cool.

I've been away for long and thought these sets had already been discussed. I spotted those sets last week and i decided to order both houses for the reasons you guys have mentioned. They are super cool indeed
