				without body armour again, Cowabounga-Arnaud ;)
any suggestions for crossbow bolts(arrows)? ....shorter and less feather but quite a waste to spoil these nice PM arrows :P

				Those new belts look very smart indeed, cheng.

				Suggestions? Nope. A helmet would hide these wonderful hair buns, so no, no suggestions.
You got me remembering of the first PM crossbows that actually shot quarrels with a rubber string. Do you remember these?

				thanks Gordon!
and Arnaud;

Yikes! do I have dementia already? You meant those big (not handheld) PM crossbows, right?

				Nope! Not at all! Those I'm talking about were hand-held crossbows. I can't remember how many arrows I shot and lost! I'll try and find a pic for you, probably on Collectobil.

				Ah, those.. Pic taken, will post later.... :-)

Of course...  :-[
Bows and crossbow, firing and non-firing versions:

Though the crossbows were not originally ours. We only started to like the medievals in the 90s (go figure). The indian bows were (so that rubber band might be from 83!
We used to shoot against the styrofoam of the 7 klickys indian box  ::)
(darn, guess I should have taken a pic of the arrows too... oh well.)

				Great customs as always very smart looking, the simple designs and bold colours look good and the little splash of white on those arrow quivers makes them look all the more realistic, I like their faces as well.
Intersting seeing those bows/crossbows that really fire what a good idea to improve playtime at least until you lose the arrows  ;) :-[

				WOW!! never seen these before! they are not in playmoDb right? do show us the arrows if you can! playable!!

			-
				Probably can't have that now. Some stupid kid could poke an eye out :P

				What? I didn't remember the bows! Though having had Indian sets back in the 70's, I guess we had those. Anyway, crossbows are more playable than the bows obviously. I remember the groove at the end of the arrow, so you could really notch it to the "string" (rubber).
The arrows were an orangy pink, if my memory's good.
Thanks for the pics Tahra.
It seems we were far more clever than todays' kids back then, doesn't it?  ;D

I never had the crossbows when I was little (and dinos walked the Earth).. We played with the bows, that I remember. And all our original arrows survived the play. They were - well, are - brown. Hope I remember to take some pics tomorrow.
Kids today are treated as too stupid to do just about anything, so... And the world IS probably a more dangerous place today then when we were kids.

				Here are the arrows:
(http://www.playkingdoms.com/temp/playmobil/arrows.jpg)
On the left, the ones matching the shooting bows - there were six of them (and are! unless we have more from lots) - 3 for each bow.
The others for comparison.

Yes, those are the new ones - that one and the black one are supposed to fit in the holes of the western fort (and the target) - the non-flaming one can also be held in a klicky hand. Other than that, they're pretty useless, since they don't fit in the quivers.

				sorry for kicking up this thread but I have a question;
do you think those blunt Terra Cotta(Qin) arrowheads are for lighting flaming arrows?
(I've never seen flaming arrows shot from crossbows before)
and borrowing Tahra's 'bolt' (I dont have any of these klicky hand held arrowheads)
having ranted so much at Geobra's coming Asian concoction,
I must then give credit to Geobra even if its 'accidental';
the PM hand held bolt could be a clue that Geobra is making Terra Cotta soldiers soon :D :lol:
