Title: Garage Addition To Suburban House
Post by: basilsdad on June 18, 2013, 17:12:33

Felt that I needed a propper garage for the Suburban House, so I tweeked the floorplan a bit and added a garage extension.

The extension is reached through the home’s family room and laundry.

I used the doors from the fire station add on (7465) and a new house 4279 and a few base pieces from the barn 7438.

The  door height is more than ample for my car.

There is plenty of room for all the toys that come along with house, vehicle and yard maintenance.  Many thanks to Gordon (Playmofire) for the neat motorcyle.   ;)

There is even room for the car.  (Wish this were true in my real life.)

There is room above for an extended family suite.  The perfect place to hide that crazy uncle.  :-[

Great addition! I love that he hangs his hat on the bedpost!

Do you have any pictures of how you've set up the large main house?

Great looking addition Joe, a bit strange to see one with room for an actual car but I suppose it must happen sometimes.

Here is an interior shot before I added the garage.

It was part of an earlier review of the Suburban House and room additions.

Have to agree Jeremy, the door is a bit too high, but there weren't too many options using the PM parts available.  Any suggestions?

Couldn't find the kitten that came with the carrier, so used a puppy instead.  I'll never eat pork chops again.

Soooo true!  Well anything is possible with Playmobil.   ;)

Ooooh very nice! There is a separate PM garage but it's tiny. This one suits the house perfectly. I don't really mind the door being so high: lots of garage gates take up the entire wall. The colour goes well with the house too, I think.

That is absolutely awesome, Joe! Love the garage apartment, too. I've wanted to do a garage for my grand mansion (5302), though I don't think I could figure out a way to have it attached.
