What is the proper Playmobil number from this steam locomotive?

Do you mean the item/set number, e.g. 4051, or the number on the loco?  If the latter, then I don't think there is any one "proper" number as some of these locos came with a set of stickers with a range of numbers on.

I mean the item or set number from Playmobil. I suspect that the locomotive number is added on by the previous owner.

This loco is (alone) nr. 4051; on plate: 99 501.

But it could also be of set nr.
4000 (with 2 blue passenger cars); on plate: 99 501
4001 – 4003 (with 2 red passenger cars); on plate: 99 804

The number 98812 on the plate of your loco is not original Playmobil!

Playmobil made a gap after the first 2 numbers (99_XXX).

Is there a »Conrad« (or another electronic shop) in the Netherlands?

There you can get this lamp [CLICK!]:  (http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/729020/;jsessionid=F3FE3BA604EDF716B9CA418577BB2F15.ASTPCEN08)

Conrad is known to me, but there is also an electrionic shop in the neighbourhood.

It was a beautiful yesterday, so I build up a layout in de garden at my parents camping site. I've got a lot of visitors from young to old, some suggested I should ask a entrance fee .

The steamlocomotive at the new railwaycrossing. The railwaycrossing is not complete yet. The warning signs are put on in the Dutch way (horizontal). The guard's shelter is not from Playmobil, but a kit from Pola.

The complete goods train that run yesterday.

It is always nice to have a pair extra eyes while shunting a train backwards.

The passenger train did also run. It was no doubt the most popular train by the visitors. The caboose is from LGB.

Both trains at the passing loop.

Great pictures of what was clearly a fun day for you and the watchers.

I've sometimes run my RC train on the lawn, but it is too uneven and trucks on sidings have a tendency to run away of their own accord!

Can you show what the track layout was, or describe it, please?

This was the track layout. The strange form is dictated by the shape of the garden around the mobile home.
It is build up by LGB tracks.

It's an interesting shape and offers plenty of routes.  Presumably, there are a number of isolated sections of track.

No, not yet. I'm planning to isolate the loop sections. Please keep in mind that the layout stays two days at best.
For that reason all the switches are manually operated. Some people also asked me why the railway crossing was not working, but a working railway crossing is quite expensive.

Thanks for the information, it's very helpful and I may copy your layout in broad terms.

My mother is keeping the garden. It is a beautifull setting to drive around with the trains.
