Nice customs! ;)
-
Looking really good!
-
These are amazing! While I really like the various tv, movie, and comics characters you've done, I think the Ninjas are my favorite! I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future!
-
I love Gimli! He's the most convincing custom I've seen so far. The work on the helmet makes all the difference. And the door behind him makes me wanna say:"Mellon". :)
-
These are amazing! While I really like the various tv, movie, and comics characters you've done, I think the Ninjas are my favorite! I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future!
To tell you the truth, they are my favourite too!
Wait till you see the weapons upgrade I did for the two of'em...
-

Aragorn II, son of Arathorn
-
Les Aventures de Tintin
-
I know... The hair looks weird... Well, as far as using pure original Playmobil parts goes, this is it! Haha!
-
You know what, I actually like how you did that with that tuft of hair. Very creative!
And legolas looks stunning!! I like Aragorn too, but does he have black hair in the books? I can't remember.
-

Haha! Thanks. Its funny how plain my Legolas look but many people took to it. Aragorn's hair looks black because they are always wet... Haha!
-
The Mighty Thor
-
Cool customs love the Tin comics his hair looks weird need a bit of getting used to but, at the same time he does look quite similar to in the comics and it does work in a way. As for Thor he looks good strangely enough I was just thinking it'd be good to do a Thor custom yesterday so it's interesting to see how you've executed him, it's still very much in the pipeline for me but, Iwas thinking alogn similar lines maybe painting some of the silver wrist things black and yellow and using a yellow belt I also thoguht the WIzards cloak painted red might work to give him that muscular look :).
-
Some very nice customs here, congrats!!
George. :)
-
Thanx guys!
Some of the parts we get are soft vinyl (like the Wizard's cape) and the paint may not hold as well, I did quite abit of simple painting previously but nothing heavy, mostly using model kit markers but finding the right part in the right colour is one of the joys customisation for me.
Thor was an after thought, all started out with that Viking Chieftain body I acquired recently.
Intended to thought to bring back the classic costume. In the end I kept the original paint work and went for the Nordic look. That is also because I am lazy... Hahaha!
The winged helmet is the toughest to craft. Had to clip off the wings from a white dove and had to shape it right with a cutter.
All in all, the plastic that Playmobil uses is really easy to work with, be it scrapping off paint jobs or bending a part with the hairdryer.
-
The Allfather Odin
-
Wonderful customs, the ones of "The lord of the rings" were my favourites. I really enjoyed the pictures
Congrats
-
Amazing Odin!
-
I saw your custom on facebook too! Excellent job on that, congrats!!
George. :)
-
:viking: Awesome customs! The LOTR are fabulous, Thor and Odin too! Well done! (that's what Jones sr. said to his son when Indy did a great job)

"Remember, remember the fifth of November the Gunpowder Treason and plot.
I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot..."
-
Said it on THAT site, and I say it again - AWESOME.
(I wanna copy him. Just doubt my facial hair skills :-[ - that IS painted, right?)
The rose was a great touch.
-
The moustache is markered on with Gundam line markers or any fine-tipped oil based markers (I never paint, always markers).
I did a few runs but in case you get it wrong, quickly erase it off with a soft eraser. Comes off easily too.
I also placed two pink dots as the blusher (Gundam marker again) and quickly blotted it out with a cotton bud for a soft effect.
Good Luck Tahra!
-
Thanks! He really looks great
(we rewatched the movie for the nth time recently - also reread the "book from the movie")
-
I totally understand that feeling cause customizing V makes me wanna watch it again!!!
-
I totally understand that feeling cause customizing V makes me wanna watch it again!!!
Go for it! :)
(a real shame the original book is a comic :( I was SOOOOO disappointed :( )
-
Nice work on those figures very interesting work on Guy Faukes he looks good in black and white and the choice of accessories seems fitting unfortunately I don't know much more than the very basic story so can't really comment much more. loving the Teutonic and particulary the Hospitallier figures if I've got them the right way round the black and grey with the bits of white a very bold and striking pattern and a finally someone who has managed to make that helmet look good I also love the use of those stands as well :)
-
Great work again !!! Congrats.
-
Wishing every Scallywag and Rapscallion here a Bountiful 2014!!!

She's great, yes!
I already have my female ninja ;) (somewhere on the PROCESS)
No army of them, restraint and all...

hey Larry, I dont know what the Aquaman looks like but would he better having the old "fish-scaled" armor that comes in purple/red/and multi-colored?
btw, wonderful customs!! keep going!
-
hey Larry, I dont know what the Aquaman looks like but would he better having the old "fish-scaled" armor that comes in purple/red/and multi-colored?
What armor is that? I can't see what it is...
As far as I remember, Aquaman wears orange :)
-

-
Printed Fish scales, Larry ;)
-
Printed Fish scales, Larry ;)
Was there one on orange body though? I have the Purple one from the Viking and the Green on from the FI?URES Series Viking but haven't come across an orange one.

Sith Lord Darth Vader

Sith Lord Darth Vader
That's really good!
Did you paint his head?
-
That's really good!
Did you paint his head?
Thanx Tahra!
Yes I did. Fitting and matching that helmet was the tough part. Decided to go with the Dragon Helmet with all its details filed off and sandpapered down to created the smooth feel.
The gloss black paint over was the final touch...
-
He looks great - and playmolike!
-
He looks great - and playmolike!
Yeah. I was too lazy to go the full nine yards. Anyway, its close to impossible.
So I keep it as simple as possible retaining some Playmo features.
-

I think that works better.... too much realism is NOT playmolike.. And playmobil is not realistic AT ALL, with the proportions all wrong... (sometimes I forget that myself.. :-[ )
I love your Vader.
-
Looks FANTASTIC!!!
-
Yep, your figures always look as though they came from a brand new Playmobil set I never heard about.
You have amazing skills!
-
:o Wow that Vader is very impressive really looks the buisness and you've found a good use for that dragon helmet it never seems to sit right with me, now you just need Luke or Obi Wan to battle with ;)
-
Playmoficent
-
Oh wow she's brilliant! Those eyes :D
-
More wonderful customs there! Vader is excellent!
-
Thank you my Friends for your compliments.
Nearly went blind painting those eyes... Haha!

Totally awesome! That film was much better than I had expected. :)

Great customs! Are those vulture wings on Maleffy's back?
-
Great customs! Are those vulture wings on Maleffy's back?
What keen eyes you have Sir! They are. Glued onto the back of the detachable winged breastplate.
Thank God the weight distribution, which I did not considered while making it is juuuuust right to keep it standing upright...
-
Saint Micheal the Archangel
Nice!!!He looks quite similar to the "good guy" from my "good vs evil" pic I posted a year or so back.
-
Thats really close Erik! So great minds DO think alike... Hahaha
Anywho... Some say, his nuts generate small magnetic field... And he was rejected from taking part in the American Idol because of his looks... All we know is HE IS CALLED THE STIG!!!"
-
LOVE the Stig!!!
-
All we know is hes smiling under that helmet. :)
-
The Mighty Hercules
-
Another great one, Larry! So on his head and shoulder is the skin from Némée' s lion, but what's on his back? Erymanthe's boar skin?
-
Hercules looks mighty good :)
Karim

Outlaws of the Marsh: "Panther Head" Lin Chong
Background story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_Margin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_Margin)
-
Another nice one! :)
-
Spotted that beauty a few minutes ago over at the PCC. Excellent work
-
Haha! Thanx Guys!
I wasn't too sure if any of you may like this one but I posted it anyway.
There are 108 of them in the Classic Chinese Literature: Outlaws of the Marsh (or Water Margin) and this is one of the main characters.
The story, like Journey to the West and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, is very well-known here in Asia.
Its a fantastic story too!
-
Haha! Thanx Guys!
I wasn't too sure if any of you may like this one but I posted it anyway.
Are you kidding?!?!? You do fantastic work on all of your customs! I love to see your creations, even if I don't know of the history or story behind them.
-
I agree! Your customs are all very well done. I'm not very familiar with the backgrounds on some of them, but I always enjoy reading the information or articles that you include. :)
-
Wow! I'm absolutely flattered... Thank you both!
Just trying to keep it as simple and as real to the spirit of Playmobil as I can so it can be easily replicated by others if they wish to do so.
-
The Way of the Sword
-
every one very cleverly constructed....carry on!
btw, very unique and clever use of parts, as always...good eyes and brains ;)
-
That's another great one. :)

I was wondering when we would get another fantastic custom from you. And you didn't disappoint! Another beauty!
-
Thanx for all your compliments!
Trying to keep things as simple as possible to be easily replicated if others wish to.

Ceasar Marcus Aurelius the Philosopher
(121 ~ 180 A.D.)
-
He's beautiful!!!
-
Oh wow!! He sure is!! :o
-
Indeed!
I can't figure out what hair is that :hmm:
-
Thanx Guys! The 1 year-old has been keeping reeeeal busy these days...
But I will put out a custom periodically to continue the tradition.
Indeed!
I can't figure out what hair is that :hmm:
Its the default hair piece from the Dwarf King from S9 with a bun at the back. Its the same one for the Samurai Special, only this one is white.
-
Good work - I like the background; it adds a bit of atmosphere.
-
Another great custom (and picture!). ;)
-
Nice.
I've been wondering about that "fire bowl on top of column". It certainly looks cool but is there actual historical precedent for it?
-
Playmubis: Protector of Broken Playmo
ps. I know Anubis has been customed many times over but well, can't let such a well-made Anubis hat go to waste.
-
That is really really nicely done.
-
That is really really nicely done.
Thanx Dude!
-
Playmubis: Protector of the Broken Playmo
That is perfection, right there :o Such elaborate customizing, and it still looks like it came right out of a PM box!
-

Hi Birdie, Thank you for your kind compliments always.
I try as much to keep things simple and easily replicable so others can DIY for themselves too.
-
I know that I keep repeating myself, but yet another BEAUTIFUL custom!!!
-
fantastic one Larry!
are those legs painted? :o they look great!
-
Thanks leefert and Tonguello.
Yes those are Roman Tribune legs markered over with Gundam markers.
-
Wonderful customs again, larryhohoho! I saw the last one was featured at the PCC site. Well done!
-
Playmubis is awesome! :)
-
Thanx Guys!
To tell you the truth I was keeping the loose parts on my table and found this Anubis lying around so I wondered if there's anything I could do about this... Most of my customs starts this way... Haha...
Think I will try my hand on the Greek Gods next cause amongst all the mess was a Roman robe which I had gotten for exactly that reason.
-
I look forward to your Greek gods!
-
Yes, they can function as prototypes for when Geobra decides to finally design them
-
That will be the day Birdie... Haha!
-
"Go tell the Spartans passerby: That here, by Spartan laws we lie..."
-
Another bullseye!
-
Perfect!!!!
-
Awesomeness!!!

-
God of the Sky: Zeus
-
I hope the Gnomes of Zirndorf are watching this thread.
-
Me too, 'cause now that's exactly what I want the Greek and Egyptian gods to look like, if they ever do them :D
-
That is a gorgeous figure! Perfect
-
He is GORGEOUS.

(I MIGHT have to copy him... ;) )
-
Thank you my friends.
Actually these are already existing parts with no new tooling required.
All Playmobil need is to mix them up and FINALLY give us that Greek line.
Please feel free to copy away. I am trying to custom them as simple as possible so you can DIY yourselves too!
-
Very very awesome!
-
That beard goes great for Zeus, and with all those lightning bolts in his hand and those evil eyebrows, I sure would not want to make him angry!
-
Just beautiful! And wonderful photography too!
-
Beeindruckende Figur! Glückwunsch! Impressive figure, congratulations!
jj:
-
God of the Sea: Poseidon
-
Another home run!!!!
-
Completely agree! He's spot on, once again!
You should put them all together for a group pic when you're finished, Larryhohoho 8-)
-
Completely agree! He's spot on, once again!

Yes, that would be awesome! Those customs are fantastic! Exactly how the Greek gods suppose to look like!
thanks for sharing.
-
God of the Sea: Poseidon
 He's great :) (even without a fishtail! ;D )
-
Poseidon is usually depicted bare chested. But I'll let that slide.
-
God of the Underworld: Hades
ps.gave up trying to custom Cerebus... Haha...
-
Stunning. Is the black toga painted?
-
Stunning. Is the black toga painted?
Yes it is. Initially, I wanted the torso and lower body to be in grey for contrast but found out I don't have a grey torso...
-
He fits the part!
-

-
Looks great! Yeah Cerebus is hard with this scale being pretty small.
-
Nice customs once more!
I should check out Greek mythology before leaving any additional comments...
(back at school I belonged to that half of the class which got more mathematics in addition to Latin language and Roman culture, but nothing about Ancient Greeks and their culture...)
-
I had been looking forward to this one!! Great stuff, I would never have come up with that combo :) I still think the dogs look the part ;)
-
Charon, the Ferryman of Hades
-
Awesome!!!
George. :)
-
Charon, the Ferryman of Hades

-
Great one!
-
Great! You should have saved this one for the Halloween photo contest, it will give me nightmares!
-
Klasse. Du stellst drei Figuren hin, und der Kopf weiß, welche Szene er drumherumdenken darf. Ganz großes Kino. :)
Just brillant.

-
Great! You should have saved this one for the Halloween photo contest, it will give me nightmares!
Haha! I did shoot another more candid one for that Graham. One that won't keep you up at night... Haha!
-
I'm not really of a nervous disposition, larryhohoho. But that black skull on the black prow looks like a sort of demonic deformed embryo. It is really creepy! :omg:
One of your best yet!
-
Impressive pic again - wieder ein beeindruckendes Bild. Schön.
jj:
P.S. Der Kommentar oben war allerdings für Specialists Mittelalter gedacht; da bin ich im Beitrag verrutscht, tut mit leid :-[. My post set above went wrong; should have been added to Specialists Mittelalter - sorry for that :-[.

Happy New Year Playmo Friends!!!
Here's a new one continuing the Greek Mythology series:
Athena, Greek Patron Goddess of Heroes
-
The groundswell of demands for a Greek theme is growing in intensity...PM MUST do a Greek theme.
But it still won't be as good as your stuff.
-
I love her!!!
-
Rainbow Klicky Ice Cream Clown
I think its a really unique Klicky but just needs to be accessorised more.
Great custom. Yes, the concept was interesting but geobra's delivery was boring. They needed accessories like you've given.
-

Thanks my Friend!
Actually, if they really dwell into Mythology stuff, there would be plenty to do and a HUGE market for it!
1) Greek
2) Norse
3) Celtic
4) Arthurian
And I really could do with a proper Corinthian helmet rather than keep using this Roman one...
-
Great custom. Yes, the concept was interesting but geobra's delivery was boring. They needed accessories like you've given.
Thank you for your compliment!
Yeah, its true... geobra could have thrown in like many many random accessories for the Rainbow Klicky and can you imagine the trading madness THAT would cause!
-
4) Arthurian
Someone did a brilliant Round Table diorama somewhere recently...and then the MP's Holy Grail dio.
-
Athena, Greek Patron Goddess of Heroes
Very nice :)
-
Your Athena looks fabulous
And your creation with the gift figure looks great, I agree it needed a little more ;)
-
Somehow, I'm not totally satisfied with this one... Oh but what the heck... Haha...
And I swear, if I pass off that Roman helmet as a Greek Corinthian one another time, I think I'm gonna be sick (as in vomit)...
Ares, Greek God War
-

Ares, Greek God War
Well if you changed his name to Mars, Roman God of War you have no problem with the helmet.
Or you could keep the helmet and be happy with it because I believe it's based on the Attic helm so it's Greek in design anyway.
-

I think you are right! I think this gives me an opportunity to rehash a Ares 2.0...
-
Hello there!
You have made great customs!
Congratulations! :confetti:
Friendly, Vasiliki
-
Ok. Now I'm Happy...
Greek God of WAR, ARES V2.0

-
Good choice of helmet and very godlike figure.
-
Thanx Guys! I am really quite happy with the new version too.
-
