Title: My first car boot sale find
Post by: skypurr on May 05, 2013, 14:54:13
For years I have scoured charity shops, school fairs and church sales with the hope of finding some Playmobil and up until today have never found so much as a single klicky  :(

Today a friend suggested we go to a local car boot sale and there on the last but one row I finally found some  :yippee:

I bought all that the seller had on the stall ..

And got the lot for £5.

Not an over exciting lot really, but finding it made my day.  I'll certainly be visiting again ;D

Congrats!  :confetti:

That is a very good haul for only £5! :D

I know exactly how you feel! ;) It's the same situation up here. :yup:

I have only once found some Playmobil at a boot sale in Inverness, and naturally I snapped it up right away. It was many years ago, but IIRC they were the figures from set 5507 (Victorian Family) and they were even with the original box. I can't remember what I paid for them now - probably £1. :)

Gotta agree finding Playmobil anywhere is a rarity went to a big car boot sale last year and not even a sniff of the stuff hence why I was so excited to find the big 90's Playmobil vheicles in a charity shop earlier this year hidden gems or what. Your finds look cool like the Knights and that lovely bright buggy you've done well :)

A good bargain, Elaine.

The small fortification can be used in a modern scene overlooking a small town with a flag flying and maybe a bench with a couple sitting on it.

What an exciting find, Elaine!! I have yet to find any playmobil at a garage sale, our equivalent over here. My brother and his wife go garage saling every Saturday, and I always tell them, if they find ANY playmobil, buy it and I will pay them back. None so far, though. I wish we had car boot sales, they look like fun.

That sounds a good idea Gordon - I'll have to work on that  :)
