Title: Spanish Falleras
Post by: customklick on April 16, 2013, 14:41:59
Hi everybody!

Here I am to show you my latest work. In particular it is a "Fallera" from my country. This is the regional dress from Valencian women during las Fallas. I hope you enjoy it, and I wait your answers.

They are all lovely!   What a nice integration of lace.  I think it is the perfect scale for the figures.  Are the hair pieces custom as well or a PM hairstyle I am not familiar with?  Thanks for sharing your work with us.

All the hair are custom and handmade. I only used one original hair to fit the braids and the combs.

Thanks for all your comments!

They're gorgeous! The details on the dresses are very pretty.

I don't know Falleras: is it a festival or a specific holiday or ...? What do they celebrate?

start to come in holiday and my childrens will decide !! (there's a "rivality" between my 2 daughters and you had to be very good if you want to stay !! but maybe when they will see you put dress on playmobil ... )

our town : all my buiding are finish , Emmy play in . It's difficult to have all buiding with all detail in the same time ... I work a lot in time and it will go a bit slowly to take picture of all buiding like i do but it goes on !! i make 40 buidings and i just stop to buy walls ....i think i will show a part of the museum this week-end and a little cottage i just finish .   my wife is very tolerant ....

Great soft goods use. Are they sewn or just glued?

Don't you know the Fallas?  Las Fallas is a traditional celebration held in commemoration of Saint Joseph in the city of Valencia, in Spain. This celebration is celebrated between 16 and 19th of March. And this is the traditional dress of valencian womem during the celebration.

I let you a wikipedia link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falles

The pieces around the neck, on the skirt and the arms, are sewn in the playmobil scale to imitate the original ones. You can find some original pics if you search 'falleras' on the internet.
