Title: "Medieval gentleman and mandolin"
Post by: Félix on February 09, 2013, 00:42:07
Does anybody know where I can find this  ???

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MEDIEVAL-GENTLEMAN-MANDOLIN-VIOLIN-KNIGHT-CASTLE-VICTORIAN-MUSIC-Playmobil-/360585044778?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item53f48b232a

I think it's awesome,  I could definitely use one in my newly acquired 3666 ! Is it real Playmobil ? It look recent, but can't find it in the catalogue. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong place ?

It's a custom.

The figure itself is from the special 6107 Albrecht Dürer figure that was given away at a museum in Nürnberg, Germany. I'm not sure if there was any other way to obtain the figure.

You're right, I knew I recognised the figure, but I thought "Viking".

I think it has also been available through the PCC or Fun Park.

It wasn't GIVEN away, you could buy it as a souvenir of the Albrecht Dürer exhibition there. :)

So, I understand that the exhibition is over now and the clicky is not available anymore ?

I don't think you can get any new ones right now, no. :-\

But in PCC Newsletter No. 1, it says the Albrecht Durer figure will be in the PCC Special Sale assortment.

I know, but that sale hasn't started yet, and we're not supposed to talk about it.

The »mandolin«/»violin« here is a lute and don't need a bow to be played...

The bow belongs to the viol (which is the third piece in the set) [look HERE]. (http://www.playmodb.org/cgi-bin/textsearch.pl?sortby=partnum&page=1&text=viol&pics=on)

The Albrecht Dürer figure indeed. I've seen this auction too! Only thing I can say that the shop is good. I made several purchases at this shop, reasonable prices and quick sending. The owner's name is Vicky, I think there are a few (older) topics about her on this forum.

Thanks Lynx,

That's good to know.  And thanks Pynedor (and others) for pointing me in the right direction.  That's a lot more info than I was expecting ! Especially the fact that a lute isn't played with a bow, I don't think I would have figured that one by myself.

So, pcc special sale assortment... maybe it's time for me to join.  What else is supposed to be in there (if you can talk...) ?

They release a lot of cool information there first, or at "officially" there first. You also get the exclusive package for joining and an item every year thereafter. People from all over the world also upload pictures and things to the site, so you can see things you wouldn't normally see on the English forum too. :)

Check out this link to see all of the benefits:

they really should release such medieval clickies as specials instead of as such exclusives. Make them easily available.  :)
