Title: Is a sale an indication
Post by: Rasputin on January 31, 2013, 21:21:27
As the German web site was updated I was noticing certain sets with the price slashed 59€ 39€ . Do you think that is an indication of a set not moving quickly enough? If so I am not too happy, but not surprised, that the train theme is all slashed. I was dreaming that it would sell and then a second round would follow.

I think it may mean that, but not necessarily. It could just be a special. I seem to remember one recent theme... western maybe? that was all on sale just after release, before there would have even been time to know if it was selling.

I agree with bonniebeth. One of the new Princess / Fairy sets is already reduced in price.

Yeah, unlike here in the US where they almost never have any sales the German site has stuff on sale all the time.

i really hope it isn't indicative of anything other than shifting units. i want the trains to keep coming, i want new stations, i want old sations to get reissued. it would be wonderful to have some of the western sets back out to dovetail with the ew western themes

. it's good for business isn't it? in the sense that it keeps certain retail doors open and active such as hobby and model shops that may have previously stopped carrying playmo.
