Title: New Count in town (no, not the one from the blister)
Post by: Hadoque on January 17, 2013, 01:24:30
A few days ago, "Lord Humblington" arrived in town...

(his colleague from the new blister is still underway)

He looks very nice!

(I'm not Erwin, but I suppose from the mummy?)

"Every girl goes grazy for the sharp dressed man" (ZZ top). Maybe he can have a duel with the new arrival for a beautiful lady.

Tahra, doesn't have the mummy green eyes? Is this head from a victorian dressing room or a medieval king's chamber?

With a little work from our friend Hadoque the Egyptian became a king.  ;)
That Egyptian bust is actually really cool.

Thanks for the positive comments  :)

Btw, this noon my much anticipated Count & Countess-blister(s) have arrived, and I must say... Playmobil's Count does not look as good in reality as I had expected (or as he looks on the pics) :-\
"Live" there is too much magenta and white. Every single part of the figure is very usable for customizing, but I don't the way they've put the colour-combination together. Clearly aimed at young kids (again), I think.
So, I've altered him somewhat. Gave him golden cuffs instead of the magenta ones, a grey wig instead of the white one, and a black tricorne with white flat printed stripe and white feather. (batteries for the camera are down, so no pics of 'm today)
These days there rarely is a new klicky that I like so much it doesn't need customizing to some degree...
Oh, and the blister-Countess, I think she looks... awful. She'll need even more customizing.

How did you pop the bust Hadoque?

Most often I use "hands-on" but for busts like that (and kids) I use the "rubber band"-technique. For this specific bust, it wasn't that easy though, I had to tie the rubberband around the neck tighter then usual (complicated by the egyptian neckpiece) and then wring the head really well.

Thanks.. I only got the rubberband method to work once... But my method is not very good for this one, I think, due to lack of grabbing place..

We'll see.
