I have both variations of set 3934, and one variation is missing a pin in the arm
The parts are listed as different colours, but the diggers are the same it's just the pins that changed design (I think, or is it a completely different model) If so I have two variations the same colour but with different designed fixings)
Both sets of parts are listed on the page:
3934 - Front Loader (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3934&pics=on)
But my question is, which design is which (so I get the right pin)?
Whether is is the later version or earlier, is there any chance of getting the parts do you reckon?
I also need a bonnet and 4 headlight and two sticker sheets for this model (my other loader is missing it's headlights and subsequently stickers)
I'm just a bit confused over the whole thing 8}
Thanks

huh? I only see one 3934. What other variation are you talking about?

Well, on the DB page I linked to most of the parts are doubled up, with different part numbers, and there are two instruction sheets shown; one for set 3934 and 3374
I don't know what the defining deferences are between these two, as I think it is that the pins are of different designs, as I have 2 loaders, with different designed pins.
The database reckons that the colour is the difference, if so what is this other set? are my two loaders with different designed pins not the two different numbered sets and are just unlogged changes? (as both of mine are the same colour

that's weird, that 3374 (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3374) should also be name front-wheeled loader and not excavator.
It looks the same to me, i see no differences on first glance. All part numbers and colours look alike.
I don't think it would be an issue as they probably used the same moulds anyway.
But, i don't have either of them to confirm it. ::)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Damo. It looks like I ought to split 3934 into Original and Revised, the same way I have done for 3001 and 3001a (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/your_set_list.pl?setlist=3001,3001a), and for the same reason: the change in pin design.
The plans that you can download from playmobil.com are for the later model, from 2006; the previous model is from 2000.
The 2000 model uses
30 20 2820 - Bolt, male (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-20-2820),
30 20 2830 - Bolt, female (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-20-2830), and
30 21 6510 - Bolt, male, long (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-21-6510).
The 2006 model uses
30 24 2990 - Bolt, short shank (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-24-2990),
30 24 3000 - Bolt, female, long shank (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-24-3000), and
30 24 3090 - Bolt, long, hollow, 55.9mm long (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-24-3090).
I also have information showing the following parts belonging to the set:
30 23 0900 - Bolt, short shank (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-23-0900)
30 23 0880 - Bolt, female, long shank (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-23-0880)
30 23 0890 - Bolt, long, hollow, 55.9mm long (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-23-0890)
... but I don't see them on any of my instructions, so they are "unofficial", only listed in the text list (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/listinv.pl?setnum=3934). They might have been assigned via one of those parts-ordering pages on playmobil.de.
All the other parts, many of which have different numbers, look to me (from the instructions) as if they're made from the same mold, so it may well be that either set of pins will fit either model.
I can't make a definite comment on the colour, although from the two sets of instructions, shown side by side in the inventory, it looks like the older one is more yellow, and the later one, more orange. As for the set photos themselves, I suspect I have a front photo from the old model and a back-photo from the new one.
Does this help at all?
(By the way, thanks, Martin, I'll change the name of 3374.)

Thank you very much for your help and clarification, Heather :)
Mine hopefully, would be the first issue one if it is missing a pin due to poor design (would make sense)
Almost certainly won't be available from DS though :-\
