Just got an email to inform me of the Warehouse sale at the New Jersey Warehouse December 15-17.
Maybe someone will be able to go!
-
is it for wet boxes ???
I so want to go there.... dressed as an employee ;D just to look around, honest :P
-
Oh, I wanna go!
-
I'd love to go but won't have the extra money. Maybe I will the next time.
-
I need to get my brother to pop over there... he only lives 30 minutes away from it ... he is so lucky, except for the whole still doesnt have power thing ;)
-
I'd love to go, although, coincidentally I'm visiting relatives during that time. In any case, airline tickets are very expensive and New Jersey is quite a long way from here by car.

Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder if they really are selling any damaged items (or just items with damaged boxes). Does anyone know if the warehouse was actually affected by the storm? I saw the notice on the PCC about shipping, but it didn't seem to mention that anything had happened to the warehouse.

It would seem to me that this sale was planned well in advance of the storm.

I would love to go as it is only about 4 hours from here, but can't get away at all this weekend. Wish they would give more lead time on these sales. :(

I was glad for the extended notice for this one, but unfortunately too much other stuff going on to be able to get to this

Not to sure where the stuff that is ordered comes from but I ordered some sets last week, right at the end of the storm.. couldn't get thru for a day. I asked the lady how they were doing w/ the weather. She just said that a 5min drive to work was taking closer to 30min. Never mentioned anything about flood or wind dmg. /shrug

Where in Southern California are you? In Los Angeles Puzzle Zoo (Santa Monica, Costa Mesa and Hollywood) and Tom's Toys (Beverly Hill and Glendale) have excellent assortments, as does U.S. Toy (Anaheim).

Geppetos was the one I was thinking of. The last time we were down south I visited the one is some upscale mall. At the time they were building a lego store next door. It was a great store and they had a decent selection of playmobil but unfortunately it was the only store I could also find in the area.
You would think in an area the size of those towns there would be more stores that sold playmobil.

i hope your toys r us actually carries playmobil in some capacity! ours reduced playmobil to 1/2 an aisle shared with calico critters!

Seems to vary store-by-store. The Toys R Us I frequent most (Los Angeles-La Cienega) did this too, but many still have a comple aisle full of sets. For those in LA, the Alahambra and Bell Gardens stores have top notch selections and a full aisle.

has anyone made it to one of their sales before? i would love to see pictures if only to get a feeling for the scale and turn out. i had read a little feedback on another forum that mentioned some good deals but nothing from iconic and ever popular themes (i.e. knights, pirates, etc.).
