When I was working yesterday a volunteer who was weeding one of the beds nearby came over to ask me if I had a spade they could borrow and they said that a woman had found some baby Hedgehogs and a Magpie was trying to mug their nest/burrow? so they'd covered them up with some leaves, they showed me where they were on the bed below me. On my way home I went to check on them and this was how I found one of them, one of the guys likes his wildlife so he wanted to take a look as well as he had never seen a real Hedgehog before and he wanted to check to see whether they were all right ;) I covered them up with a few leaves afterwards hope they'll be all right

I think he could be lined up to be the photographer for my little community

Thank you all for the comments nature is certainly very beautiful makes me so glad to be a volunteer gardener and conservationist :)

I certainly hope not my knowledge is fairly limited but, they did say they'd heard the Mother squeaking, the 2 I saw looked more like babies
so hopefully the Mother is not to far away ???

Aww they are so cute
But if the mother is still there, you absolutely shouldn't touch them, or the mother will leave them alone because they smell like human!

What lovelky photos, baby hedgehogs (and adults) are cute.
Should they not be getting ready to hibernate now?

Ah thanks for the comment and advice I hoped that I would not be putting them in danger and I think I just touched the leaves around them not the Hedgehogs themselves to cover them up :)
