Title: Just wanting to say hello.
Post by: subsonic1 on December 04, 2006, 10:33:37
Hello to everyone.
This is my first post. In fact this is the first I have ever written on any forums a this is the first I have ever joined.
like all of you, I collect Playmobil. My main area of interest is in keychains but I collect anything that I like. Who doesn't ?.
I love the modifications that some of you people accomplish with seemingly effortless input. It is one of my intentions to start klicky restructuring and hopefully make some custom figures that are worthy of this arena too.
I have already made a custom puller - dismantling thing - that works very well in pulling the head out of the body cavity without breaking anything. It's crude but effective.
When time permits I will move on to the next stage of actually doing some figure sculpting.
Like a lot of collectors, I am a collector of collections. Playmobil just fits in nicely though.

Hello, and a warm welcome from the UK. :)

I love the modifications that some of you people accomplish with seemingly effortless input.

If only it were!

I have already made a custom puller - dismantling thing - that works very well in pulling the head out of the body cavity without breaking anything. It's crude but effective.

There's a thread just started on taking klickies apart.  Will you show us your device and how it works, please?

We look forward to seeing your customs.

:wave:Hello again to all how have welcomed me. A big thank you to you all. :wow: I am still very new to this type of forum so I will probably make a lot of mistakes answering people or posting pictures. I have no idea how at this stage. I am literally feeling my way along. I don't even know what forum I should be in! :-[
I will upload some pics of my gadget. I'm not sure about video of it in action though at this stage. I like making special equipment for doing difficult jobs so this thing will end up being only the mark one version anyway. I have plans on redesigning the primitive aspects of it. Namely the nylon string that actually holds the feet and head while it is being pulled apart. >:D

Hi Subsonic1,

C'mon you're making us very anxious to see how it looks, don't hold us in suspense any longer.
It all sounds very devilish, but we like that :yup:
