Hi,

This is my first post though I've been lurking for years, and previously posted on playmoboard under the same name.  I should do an introduction post soon. Thanks for letting me join the conversation.

Figures series 3 has finally arrived in New York City, but the store where I bought my last pieces of series 2 has upped the price from 2.99 to $5!  I was disappointed in the increase so only purchased two pregnant ladies, a rocker and soldier.  In this area the prices have varied since they were introduced- $3, $4, $4.50 or $5 - but I've stuck to the $3 stores. I have one more store to check, but I wonder if Playmobil has raised the suggested price or if these stores are doing it on their own.  Many of the NY stores inflate the prices of most sets, so I almost exclusively buy directly from Playmobil.  Does anyone have any insight into this?  What price is Series 3 in your area?

My "Five Below" store doesn't have series 3 yet, but the manager said they would be $3 when they got them in... I am in Upstate New York so I guess the stores are doing it themselves.

I paid 2,20€ each of serie 3 in Paris, at a small toy store. It's actually what they call a partner shop with PM, so they're cheaper than TRU or other big toy stores. At TRU, I believe those cost 3,50€.

They are three bucks here in the carolinas at local toy shops. They are four bucks at TRU.

We only have the series 1 in a big local toystore... :(
But the price is wayyy lower: 1,79 US dollars (1,38 euro)!
But the price will probably be higher when we get the other series, I guess.

The shop here is pricing them the same as previous series, so I don't think Playmobil has raised their price/cost.

Considering series... 1 .. was selling for FOUR POUNDS each in Hamley's last november.. we can all count ourselves lucky!

Wow! I doubt any place can beat that.
