Wow, that looks totally awesome! You've got a really nice town there, and it looks like it's easy to move around all the parts where you have it so you can create some stories and scenarios.
And the scorpion in the economy room!
-
Your diorama is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love that you have combined new dollhouse 5302 with western theme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
That looks great Bonnie,   so many things to see, I love the custom signs and the use of the large house for the saloon plus all the amusing little touches
I only had a quick look so I'm going to go back and look again. I'm sure there will be lots of things I didn't spot first time around.

Lovely diorama. The bartender with the eye-patch is great!
-
Lovely, it's so pretty  And it's very busy everywhere, I like that: you can keep finding things you didn't see before.
Great way of furnishing the stores and houses too: that general store looks packed :)
The little girl in the cart with the long yellow dress, which set is she from?
P.S. Could someone get that poot little baby out of that uncomfortable wicker basket?
-
Bravo bb !!! wonderful set up and details !!! Beatifull diorama , thanks for sharing with us !!!
For some reason this set up reminds me of ' Little House On The Prairie ' one of the best tv series for kids if you ask me and nothing like the junk and rubbish on TV ( American and European this is..) , you diorama reminds me so much of that and reminds me i have to buy this entire series one day and show it to my daughter so it helps her learn the important human values that this series so well portrayed and in such a consequent way your diorama !! bravo !!i think its much more singnificant and meaningfull than most would think !!! really like the family on the wagon, just awesome
-
Really nice!
Love the way the horses have the reins on the... those things to tie them to. :-[
And the cowboys with the cattle.
The barman is perfect! Great looking klicky for that!
The economy room is scary! :P
Did you put the double bunks like that on purpose?
Hope the sheriff gets rid of the deputy! Idiot! >:(
And the painted basket looks awesome! What's the candy made of? Looks yummy....
Love the doc's sign, and the custom ones on the headquarters! And the most perfect one on the livery, with the cutout... looks gorgeous!
Great use of the log cabin. Brilliant idea. And must be very handy for the passengers.
And the skunk with the necktie

Thanks so much everyone! Glad you like it!

She's a custom. I'm actually not sure where all her parts came from, but I think the yellow skirt is from 4258 - Royal Carriage (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4258). And yeah, too bad they didn't have nice carseats back then!
For some reason this set up reminds me of ' Little House On The Prairie '
I may well have subconsciously been influenced by this series. I used to watch it quite a lot, though I don't like it nearly as much as the original books which I have read dozens of times!

Yes, about the double bunks. The candy is made from some old tiny glass beads I had lying around, we used to call them indian beads. I had to put them in from the bottom and then put a piece of clear packing tape at the bottom to hold them in. All those custom signs were a lot of fun! Chris and I went to a hobby store and found a bunch of really great printed papers to use for backgrounds, and appropriate lettering, and a few stickers for embellishment. The saloon could still use a sign, but I need to figure out how to attach it.

Great idea for the candy
And the signs turned out perfect.

Great western town you have there. It looks like a very friendly town, ours always have wars in the middle of them (can't keep the union/confederates out)
It looks great and thanks for sharing all the pictures
-
Indeed a very peaceful town unlike how also my western town would look like
-
I think its the calm before the storm. there is a reason the town has a sheriff, 3 deputies and the marshall just showed up so I see trouble coming

Yes, Laura Ingalls Wilder is the author, she wrote stories based on her own childhood. There are eight books about her childhood, and one called Farmer Boy about her husband Almanzo's life growing up in New York State. I highly recommend them! Very wholesome and educational reading. There are also books written by other authors about the life of Laura's daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

roll in the cannons :woohoo: :picsplz: :munch:
-
Very nice set up. Love to see these scenes. And that baby, isn't she a lot young for a rear facing seat ;) Anyway, you did a great job, keep it up!!
Jarred.

With that set up the upcoming wtestern school will make a bonifide addition me reckons. Reference this loveky set up it shouldnt be ruined with cannons and banditos etc i think its serenity is its biggest appeal if you ask me 0)
-
Great set up, it looks like a really friendly place to live.
And I'd have to speak in that poor deputy's defence: many outlaws back then had nicknames such as Mad Dog, Howling Henry, etc. so I dont blame him for getting confused by that.
What did those kids do that the old man is chasing them off like that? did they scare the chickens? :)
-
Wonderful set up with very nice ideas. Very nice scenes with many details. Excellent job bb, well done.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
Friendly George.
-
Thank you for all the nice comments everyone!

Yes, I can't wait to get the school! I will also get the other two buildings that have been re-released to turn into other buildings.

Quite true, but did anyone notice the stolen goods on the desk, which are the reason for the arrest?

Great diorama Bonnie! Lots of cool details. Maybe they need a sign for the post office announcing it's future grand opening - no doubt a major event for the town.
Don't worry about the mess under the tables, we're Playmobil collectors, we want to see what's under your tables ;)
-
Thanks! Great idea about the grand opening sign!

   I guess that's true! That's mostly Chris's stuff under the tables, plus some bins of system x pieces that we share. My stuff is much more organized. ;D
-
Very nice setup. I'm going to have to set my stuff up one of these days. How did you make the signs? I'm assuming they are stickers.

Thanks. The signs are made of printed paper, with letter stickers over them. I found all kinds of great papers with various wood prints at Hobby Lobby.

So you made the signs with letter stickers on a background sticker ?

Great dio bb, I finally had time to watch it.
Love the details and the combination of sets
Love also the funny things here and there!
