Just got back from a wonderful holiday to Greece made even better by the discovery of a family run toy shop...and happily marched through customs with a backpack containing this little lot.. . ;D

I could have got quite a few more older sets (6631 - Grandparents (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=6631), 6901 - Freight Train Set (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=6901), 3080 - Starship 3 (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3080) ) but I showed restraint! ;)
Having said that I'm not sure why I got 3 of the walkers and clowns but hey never hurts to have 2 spares right. :hmm:
Also, whilst I like the first smile sets I would need to keep them for at least 10 years before I would have any use for them...but they are soooo cute!
However, I noticed a difference in the clowns and thought there were two versions but my v3 collector says only 1?
The Playmobil lettering is rounder on the one on the right which corresponds with the fact it has a later date on the top.

The bottom of the box has a sticker on the earlier one:

But the biggest difference is the side of the box ( the earlier version has the pictures):

I need some advice as which is rarer and if I have just missed the existence of 2 different versions.
Furthermore the walker has some differences also but not as major as the clown...

I guess these minor differences (one is also a darker shade of blue than the other) were not noticeable to warrant a new version?
Thanks,

I'd love to have known what the guy was thinking especially when I went through with no issues, my dad was carring a pack of mints and an opened pack of biscuits which we all thought would be confiscated and was waved through :hmm: then my mum had to empty her bag as it was deemed suspicious. 8}
The lady in the toyshop thought we had loads of young relatives to buy gifts for and thats why we got the same sets to avoid arguments. :)
I was very impressed with the amount of Playmobil available in the town we were in, several other shops had a few sets and it was even sold in the airport. :)9
