Here is a review of the 5979 small castle set. Bought this at TRU at a 50 dollar price point.

Here are the walls and front gate. The walls are like the 3268 empire castle walls but with a different color. Also the breakaway wall is in the curve on this set.

Here is the front of the tower. This is all one piece on the front. All the walls, gate and tower front are the same size. The back of the tower attaches just like the current castle towers.

Here are the klickies. It uses current figs but sporting new silver flare and bucket helmets.

As you can see here, the viking crest thingy has been added.

The front gate is pretty cool. I wish PM would release a castle with the new blue and black axe knight heraldry. Seems like we have plenty of dragon stuff.

Nice review, Elric! I love the klickies! :)

Love your review. Those dragon knights are my favorite.
Btw, what is that scalped klicky doing on that track? :)

Thanks for the pics! I like the torches...

Must get this set... I am interested to see if its easy to get 4 of them and put together something bigger...
Thanks for the pics and review! Its interesting to see the silver version of those helmets. This is the only set containing them.

I was thinking the same thing.

If you look closely, its the baker that has been scalped and held for ransom.

I was thinking the same thing.
Perhaps four towers in each corner?? and make a square castle?

Thanks a lot for this review. It seems like a cool set, but there really should be more than just two figures and a small dragon. It seems a bit empty to me. And why is the platform part of the wall light silver instead of the matching shade?
Its interesting to see the silver version of those helmets. This is the only set containing them.
I want these helmets! :)

I was wondering about him too.

Hello Elric.
Many thanks for the review. Is the tower one only part, as we can see at your third picture?
George.
Edit: Yes, I noticed your comment now. ;D

Cool the Klickies look quite interesting personally haven't seen them before :)

thanks for the review and pictures. If i get this set, not a big dragon knight fan, I too would want to expand the overall size of the castle. I think you said it would make a great outpost castle and if it can not be reasonable expanded I guess than this would be a good use for it.
For $50 I would want at least 4 klickies a war horse and more accessories. TRU influenced the contents too much by keeping their purchase price low but not passing the savings on to us.

I think making it a bigger square is the only option with this set.
