I don't think this set has been reviewed yet, sorry if I missed it. This series has come available early at Toys R Us, and it has some nice features, so I thought I would share a few pictures.

Here is the structure itself. It has, of course, a working water hose that runs on a pump.

a side view showing the pump

The not-so-pretty back of the structure

I think this clydesdale is absolutely magnificent.
He comes with a very pretty blanket, and a brown bridle and reins.
Interestingly, he also comes with a green bridle and matching string...
which very cleverly attaches to the ring on the wall. I thought having two different bridles was a nice extra touch.

Absolutely love this klicky! I like his rolled-up sleeves, which though they aren't new, I think they look really good with this outfit.
And here he is with his apron
(http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy289/bonniebeth2/100_0180-1.jpg)
grooming tools and products, plus a nice big bucket I don't recall seeing before.
I also don't think I've ever seen this orange container, which perfectly fits all of the grooming tools.
And the best thing of all... blacksmithing tools!!! That's the main reason I bought this set, truthfully.

And here is an overview shot of the whole set. I think it's just lovely!

Gotta pick this one up for those blacksmith tools. The horse and klicky do look pretty good as well. Thanks for the review.
-
Nice set. You're right about the horse, he's a beauty!
I'll have to control myself. I've never been interested in the equestrian themes, but the newest (5221) stables are gorgeous. The whole theme looks great. I definitely want the pony wagon #5228.
-
Lovely set you got there, bb! Love the horse!!!
-
Wow yes that horse is beautiful! Hadn't noticed that on the box...
-
Thanks for the pics - I also love the tools, klicky and horsy (as does everyone else, apparently ;) )
-
I love this set, thanks a lot for the pics.
George.
Edit: Where are the new sets with knights Bonnie ???
:) :)
-
Afraid I didn't buy those, so I can't do a proper review. They aren't my theme and I've got a very limited budget these days. I did post pics, however: http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=11511.msg214714#msg214714

Bonnie this is a wonderful set. I think the Clydesdale is wonderful. :yup: Is he the same as the Shire horse in set 5108? Thanks so much for the pictures, it is a great review!

Thanks for the review.
On Playmobil.de in the description for this set they call the horse a Noriker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noriker)
Clydesdales (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clydesdale_%28horse%29) usually have a white nose stripe. I'm not a horse expert though, and as far as I am concerned it can be any breed you want. I did call it a Noriker on Animobil though
-
Interesting, I wondered if it was meant to be a clydesdale or not, since it is a bit small for one. Horses aren't really my area of expertise either, I really should try to learn more about them.
-
Great information, Tim and Bonnie. I couldn't resist and ordered them both. :-[ I really shouldn't read these reviews.

thanks for review of what looks like a great little horse set. I have plenty of the blacksmith tools but I do need to find an excuse to get this lovely set. Maybe the new grooming tools are needed, yes I need those.
-
you can never have too many grooming tools, Ras.
Joe
-
 You mean the grooming tools that must have come in a milion sets and that I have coming out of my ears? :P

Here are the two Noriker horses. The one on the left is from set 5225 and the one on the right is from set 5108. I hadn't realized that they were different colorations. I think they are just beautiful.

 They are gorgeous! I want the one with the black mane and tail too!

That is a very nice set you get lot what with the grooming staion horse, figure, grooming and blacksmith tools, boxes and the horse coat and 2 bridles. Love the look of theset for some reason the bench makes me think of the swimming pool changing rooms :-\ :-[ I really like the figure with his shirt and sleeves the hair piece is great, would make a good basis for a gardener figure I think :)

the bench makes me think of the swimming pool changing rooms :-\ :-[
   You're right!
The figure is great, and really versatile. I'm going to use him, exactly as he is, as the blacksmith in my western town.

Very nice review, Bonnie, and I like that klicky with the rolled up sleeves very much. I can see uses for him in a number of scenes.
And Ras, with your beard you can justify any number of grooming tools! :)

I've missed this thread!!! Something is not working right with my "unread posts" list :hmm:
Anyway, I love this set! It has a lot of great items and the horse and blanket are awesome.!!!
As Joe said, I should not read this reviews

very nice review, Bonnie
i love the saddle/blanket
does anyone know if early tru releases are available at US DS?
-
I sent in an order this week that had some of the new horses on it, so we will see if they are available. Sometimes items are and sometimes not.
-
Got my response back, only a $20 order which means most things were out of stock. None of the horses from the new series were available.

Another great review , thanks bb. I totally love horses, i learned to rid in Chobham when in the UK ( Horse riding is very big around that area ) and i ride occasuionally in greece . i love horses and naturally i would love all those new horse sets. I think the best think about them is the use of the very old blacksmith tools from the 70s, so nice to see these parts are eternal    . The building , i dont like it at all :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: sorry, al these hollow parts etc is just nor right and not playmobil visual standards , this alone has ruined this set for me .
As for the horses , i think they look magnificent for that theme but for that theme only and their details fcor riding and dressage are superb. JUst a bit concened that too much detail , i hope we dont end up seeing any drastic such change to the playmobil smiley face with noses, ears etc , just a bit concerned about how much more realism is going into the animals which i dont find it that necessary adn worried it might escalate . ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

I absolutely love the new horse theme, and I think these kind of horses look the best (noriker horses you said?)
I like that PM has put an owl in this set, too. and I do like the building, eventhough it looks a bit over-new for Playmobil (if you know what I mean) Thank you for the review!
