Nice! I like the first better.
How did you do it?

I think it would look good to leave the opening red and paint the buttons black.

I like the second one too, but not the black painted opening. Like the buttons and neckpiece painted... Looks great!

I like that one much better. :) Maybe you could try a darker red fold too instead of black to make it look more realistic.

Love the longcoat! Obviously, the buttons need to be golden, but the opening should be white or gray, or maybe blue. And matt, also.
Best,
Arnaud

reminds me of an old action man costume from back in the late 70s early 80s.  Good work.

I've got to say I like them all more so the ones with the red coats the gold buttons definately look good

reminds me of an old action man costume from back in the late 70s early 80s.  Good work.

hmm you're going to get me puzzling now through my mental AM index  ;D the ones that come to my mind which are sort of similar are the Grenadier Guard, Colditz Escape Officer with green greatcoat and full secret agent escape kit or the French Foreign Legion with a blue great coat, thinkt they were produced before late 70's - 80's but, many of them were still produced for quite a few years after and would probably be passed down, anyway that's jut the Action Man collector in me  ;D

Mike 1003,
I often have this problem when customising too...say for example my samurai army (another concern of mine is that the regular Westerner has a 'fixated' idea of what orientals should look like :P)

so I think it depends on whether you need to stay historically correct
or if you are looking for the best colour combination to bring up the asthetic details you have so cleverly put in...so which direction are you headed?

iam not really intressted in staying historical correct.. iam building a huge mansion and it will be part of a castle. so i need some gud looking soldiers to protect it.. it should be all in victorian style. i personal must say that i like the redones with the golden buttons mysef really better as the blackcoat one..
