Saying hi from New Mexico (that's next to Texas for non-Americans and the half of the USA that still doesn't realize that we are not part of Mexico).
I've been collecting Playmobil for 20+ years. Most of my collection is Victorian (you can thank my grandparents for that). I like it, but even as a child, I wanted more weaponry. I'm hoping to get some of the sets I didn't get when I was younger and to build up the defenses a bit ;)

Hello and :welcome: from Louisiana (the other side of Texas :P)! Great to have you with us. Can't wait to see some pics of your collection!

Thanks all!
Jimbo, you are not too far from here :)

Welcome to the forum! I look forward to seeing your collection and weaponry. The Medieval and other historic themes would be great for that.
-
My weaponry collection is pretty sad at the moment. Definitely need more military klickies. And possibly some knights. I've always liked the Medieval stuff, but I don't have any :(
-
Welcome from wintery Buenos Aires, Argentina! (not Brazil )
Hope to see pics of your collection soon!
Have fun!

Ah, haha! That should change. All of my weaponry is from that age or those before it. No gunpowder for me! You can find some good stuff for the Victorian era though, since that's what you're interested in.

Welcome from the UK!
Damo :)

The western theme might combine perfectly with your victorian sets, its pretty much the same era. Great thing about western is also that it seems to be many themes within the theme. Ranch, Gold miners, Fort, Indians, Town, Bandits, Train..
Personly I like all historic themes though, medieval and pirates is what I focus on, maybe some cowboys in the near future.
Usually best to keep the collection limited to your favorite themes, collecting many themes can get rather expensive and might take up a whole lot of room. :)

Hello and a warm welcome from the Netherlands (no that's not a province of germany or something, but a real country :D)
Good to have you here! Looking forward to many posts.

Another welcome from the Netherlands, which is not the capital of Belgium or a province of Germany, as my good friend conniefrere already mentionned... ;) Since the movie 'The Cowboy Way' with Woody Harrison and Kiefer Sutherland I know exactly where New Mexico is. (There ain't real cowboys in Texas )
I'm sure you'll like it here!

And "welcome aboard" from Belgium as well!
(and no, Belgium is not the capital of Brussels; it is the other way around  )

Welcome from the Scottish Highlands! :coo:
The Victorian theme was my first love and is still my favourite of all the themes. Your grandparents had excellent taste in toys. :)

Welcome from Southern California!

Pynedor, yes, I’ll have to change that. I have few armed guys from the fairy tale collection (musketeers and a cavalier) and one royal guard, so a little bit of gunpowder but mostly swords. I’ve always wanted a medieval set though…
Rhalius, I’ll be getting some western stuff in the mail soon (hopefully tomorrow). I like some of the wagons and such. It’s a well-developed theme. I like most of the historical themes, but I’d definitely go broke if I pursued them all. My favorites are Victorian, Medieval and some of the Fairy Tale (I don’t like pink, but I like the swords and the nice hats and the pretty outfits).
Conniefrere and Lynx, I’m on another forum that has many of your countrymen, or rather countrywomen, on it. :) Lynx, I haven’t seen that movie. I used to live in Texas. The cowboys are mostly for tourists. :P There are a few small towns in TX and NM that look like they are straight out of the 19th century, including the people there. There's even one with a country store that still sells ice cream for $0.50. It's insane. They can't be making any money off of it.
Hadoque, I want to visit Belgium someday… mainly for the chocolate, but I hear there are many other things to see and do there.
Sylvia, indeed. I’m glad they picked a toy that would be interesting for many years… though I kind of want a castle too or at least a medieval bakery.
Merci à tous!

New Mexico is where the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad partly runs through.... (and that is not Mexico).
