I think some of the individual displays are as big as my house. Bigger.

i really like the medieval pictures and the oriental bulding is fantastic , thanks to share in here . jl

Wow, that looks absolutely awesome! Thanks for the pictures, Tiermann.
It's no surprise why I can't ever find more crusaders anywhere.
-
Great pictures. The flickr stream has high resolution images as well.
Thanks!
-
It all looks absolutely fantastic. :o
I really must stop looking at pictures of some of these large exhibitions, they make my forthcoming displays look very inferior. :(

I would not think this way at all, think of how one day when you keep doing your displays and more and more people get involved this is what it could turn into. You have to start somewhere ;)
-
It might sound rather cliche but its not really the quantity of playmobil that counts, but how you use it.
I must say they do use it quite well on these pictures, but many small details will be overlooked on these big displays while people will be far more likely to spot all the details you put into your smaller displays. :)

:o
Gods. Ok, I do NOT have enough romans!

a big display can be bad or good and the same applies for small displays. Yes many small details will be over looked but judging from how many there are I think seeing even 1/2 the details would be enough, no need to see all.

Wow!!!! Thanks for sharing this, Tim!

Yes, but as someone who loves building dioramas, I must say it is so much fun when you are the one building the dio and putting in all the fine details. No one will ever appreciate your diorama the same way you do, but that doesn't matter, you know they're there, and it makes you happy to look back at what all your hard work has accomplished. The fun is in setting it up.
Elaine, your displays are in no way inferior! There's no way just a few people can do an exhibition of this magnitude, but your event will continue to grow as the years roll by. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the pics from this year.

Love the pictures Tim, thanks so much for posting them.
Just makes me think how much fun it would be to create something like this and having all the Playmobil pieces to do it with! That would be a dream come true! :cloud9:

I really like setting up display and seeing how many of these "details" are found and what interpretation the viewer has. I sometimes put in very controversial scenes, especially in my brothels in the western towns ;) ;D

WOW!! :(o): :(o):
That Oriental Citadel is truly outstanding!! :omg:
And the size of the displays is indeed very large!!
I wonder how many people contributed to just 1 of the displayed themes... or are most of them the property of one person?! :(o):
Thanks for the pics and the link, Tim!

Great expo with very nice dioramas. Congratulations to the creators.

the diorama with the ships in the river and the city next to it might be my favorite.
The later picture of the medieval city seems somehow a little odd to me considering the placement of all the houses. It seems a little random, I feel that more could have been done with it. Not that I mean to be overly critical, but considering the many wonderfull medieval sceneries that many playmofriends have showed us I'd gues that I am not the only one that sees that more could have been done with it. :)
