Title: Starterset LGB 90450
Post by: Marco_4124 on July 03, 2012, 20:12:16
LGB announced for 2012 a new starter set which in my opinion also suites "klicky's". But I have not more information about this set yet. The locomotive certainly looks like it will carry a Playmobil engine driver, but the two goods wagons are from the former Toytrain productionline. Good news for those who still has Playmobil electric trains.

It is certainly remarkable that Playmobil and LGB announces both a new train for Playmobil in 2012.

Almost no doubt that this locomotive will suite a Playmobil engine driver.

It certainly does look suitable for klickies.

What I'm hoping for is a new Playmobil steam loco.

I just wish they did not regulate the trains so much as I want brass tracked engines.

Even if they are RC I hope geobra is able to export them to the US with all the restrictions in the way

I do RC on brass, sounds much better than on plastic.

If they are/were both based on prototypes, then they will be similar as that is a pretty standaerd shape for a diesel shunter.

I found a picture of the Playmobil diesel shunter 4025, but that is a different locomotive:

Note that the Playmobil locomotive has a window next to the door, and the LGB locomotive doesn't have a window next to the door. I found out that the blue shunter in the (Märklin) LGB set 90450 was first produced as a red LGB Toy Train shunter. Funny is the "TT" marking on the new 90450 shunter, as to date (Märklin) LGB does not use the brand name Toy Train.
