Hi,
it has been a while since I delivered my last custom, but somebody from Germany asked me to make some sort of red fantasy bull out of a bison. That figure was photographed from a tv screen, since it was her only source. It took me a few days to study it, but I'm well underway with the custom; I believe it will be finished in 1 or 2 days.
I included the pics of the bull and the bison, so maybe you can speculate in your minds what the result will be... ;)

Oh yes, The Last Unicorn! I love this movie (just recently bought the DVD).
I'm curious how "Lady Amalia" (the last unicorn in human figure) will looks like.
-
The red bull looks a lot like a water buffalo. Which, BTW, is one animal that Playmobil has not yet made!
-
Well, I just finished it, so here it is:
-
He's FABULOUS, Jean-Luc !!!
And, he doesn't look anything like a water buffalo ... ;)
Great custom !!! ... :wow: ... :wow: ... :wow: ...
All the best,
Richard

Not wanting to go off topic, but maybe for others of interest too, here a brief summary of the animation movie:
The movie is about an unicorn which has recognized to be the last unicorn in the world. (BTW unicorns can only be recognized by those humans who believe -- for others they appear as normal horses.)
From a butterfly (if remembering correctly I assume it was a butterfly) she -- it's a female unicorn -- got the information that all unicorns had gone and had been captured by the red bull (:hmm: nowadays the term "red bull" got a totally different meaning ... ;) -- the movie is from 1982).
So she goes on a quest for seeking her fellows. On this quest she is guided by a magician (whose magic seldom works correctly) and a female robber. Finally the party found the other unicorns who a caught in the sea by the red bull on behalf of an old king who lives solely together with his heroic son in a cliff castle. To disguise from the red bull and King Haggard in highest danger the magician cast a spell on the unicorn to become a woman and with this is no longer of interest for the unicorn "hunters".
Although a love story between Lady Amalthea (i.e. the unicorn; in German Amalia) and king's son is in the offing, she still feels in her human body the soul of the unicorn wanting to free her fellows, but this desire got weaker more and more as long as she stays a human ...
Beautiful pictures, very atmospheric, and a great soundtrack by America.
Update: Oh, just realized that on wikipedia there is more detailed review (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Unicorn_%28film%29).

Great job Jean Luc, that's wonderful!
May I steal your photos for use in the Aimobil customs section in the future?
-
Great custom, Jean-Luc, and thank you, Jochen, for the background information.

That's no problem.... ;)

Awesome custum Jean-Luc! Very well done.
-
A very cool bull ;D

It looks just perfect, Jean-Luc! :D
You really have a talent for converting regular Playmo into fantasy creatures. 8-)
What did you model the additional parts out of? Is it Milliput, or some other type of stuff? :)
Btw, thanks for the background information on the story, Jochen. I hadn't heard of it before.

Thanks Sylvia!
The horns and the fattening of the body are made of 2-component epoxy, but not the type that you can find in the regular stores...It was given to me some time ago by Macgayver from Belgium (you remember him?) It was made by somebody he knew and it works extremely well; I think it is even tougher than regular epoxy mass (it becomes really rock hard), although it takes a little longer to cure. But that is allright, because it gives me more time to model the shapes... 8-)

Ahhh... I know the stuff you're describing! :)
Macgayver kindly sent me a couple of tins of it too, but I haven't as yet tried it out... even though he gave me very detailed instructions on how to use it. :-[
I feel like I owe it to him to test it out since he was so generous to send it, but I haven't had much time for customising this year. :(
