Title: Today's haul
Post by: Red Watch on June 05, 2012, 01:02:22
Mini-Chief set out today to spend some pocketmoney, bolstered by some vouchers for Toys r Us and a little bit extra from the sympathy ploy (she's just got over chickenpox) and still managed to over-run her budget!  :)  Intentions of coming home with a 4345 Vet's car or a 4823 fireboat or maybe the 5129 harbour cafe went straight out of the window when we got there, instead she discovered a couple of items on discount due to damaged packaging, so she acquired this

and this

for £9.99 each, the damage to the packaging was no more than this

The bottom of the 4777 box and the top handle torn due to handling damage and a small quantity of dust on the balcony and on the 4140 box nothing more than a flap prized open, all contents of both boxed proved to be present.  She finished off by adding these to her little haul

The Series 2 mystery figure bags contained number 10 in the female bag and number 8 in the male bag, the stretcher bearers from the 4727 "Field medics with player" set will be transferred to the Ambulance Service to bolster the number of paramedics, might just have to grab a couple more of these sets and indulge in hair swaps and baseball caps to swell the numbers further.

So that's today's haul, apart from one flower head from the Unicorn Take Along Castle which is currently hiding somewhere in Nanny's carpet, not a bad little load really and well done to Mini-Chief for spotting the opportunity to get a couple of discontinued sets at discount price, she has an eye for a bargain even at this early age!  ;D

A nice haul, though the prisoner looks particulary sad standing in the middle of such a very colorfull and festive display. He must have really angered that princess.

Thanks folks, I think he's there to clean up afterwards and generally do all of the dirty jobs, although according to Mini-Chief he's going to spend a lot of time in the cells so he'd better make the most of his community service day  ;D

Thanks guys :)
Erm, I dunno  :-[ hadn't even thought about writing a review, I thought somebody would have already done a review given the age of the set, it also depends on if we can manage to prize it back off Mini-Chief for long enough to write a review :)
