Title: street
Post by: stadswache on June 03, 2012, 18:13:34
Hello,

i am wondering.

I have a lot of parts to make a street.

like this one
http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=4044-A&cgid=2007

but i miss crossings

to make corners

I only can go one way with these.

I Think they should make crossings. and corners..

This sounds like a great idea. I have wanted to do this also but it is expensive here in the US to get enough parts, even used.

All the construction sites and the two way street should look great using this system

Geobra did make the Street Corner (http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3987.htm) but it is not in the new road base style.

Maybe they should just develop a long mat you can roll out with a playmo scale road on it. That way the price could stay quite low since roads wouldnt be appealing to buy for a high price.

Different designs of the mat could be released, some could be completely straight while others could have corners, multible mats could be connected to each other and each could come with a clicky for the streets. Like a traffic cop, a skater, a construction worker or a jogger.

The only problem is Geobra is in the plastic molding business. Other companies have these types of mats so I am sure since Geobra can not have total controll through copyrights they will shy away from such ventures.

I would love to see such an idea come to fruition but I doubt it will.

For diorama's it could still be very usefull though, but I agree, corners are needed.

Well, it seems your vehicles are older, so you could just imagine that your paved road is still in progress and make it dirt beyond the straight part and add in some construction workers. ;)
