Title: Procession in Ancient Egypt
Post by: conniefrere on May 18, 2012, 17:53:18
Hello playmofriends,

I made a diorama of my Egyptian, Roman and some Safari theme's from my collection. I did not have any nice backdrops, still working on that, so I decided to Photoshop a little bit. Well I must say the result is rather satisfactory.

Here are some pics of the dio. Some others will follow, but it takes a long time to remove the background in my pictures with Photoshop.
Hope you like'm.

Nice Pics ! i liked the first one very much. just a little tipp : if you use a gaussian blur in photoshop for the backdrop ( maybe 4 or 5 % ) you might get an even more realistic look

Thank you! I'll keep your tipp in mind. This was the first time I photoshopped with background layers. I was also thinking tomtry and use the lens blur option. What would work better?

Very nice.  I like your lighting, the brilliance and sharp shadows add to the appearance of bright midday sun.

These are beautyful, Jan! Great eye for detail and realistic action scenes! The Egyptian theme is lovely, the Roman as well... Great to combine it.. reminds me of the comic Asterix and Cleopatra. Great!!

Thanks Joost and indeed the romans and egyptians can be mixed properly! I have all those comics of Asterix, they're great these comics made me intersted in the roman civilisation in the first place. I also made a pic of the celt one time......check how he swings a roman as obelix.
