The new DS-Katalog is getting further unveiled in Germany; somenone has posted the first pictures on Klickywelt. :)
It appears Playmobil didn't tell us everything about the DS-sets for collectors, because besides the 4 sets we were told about (Museum, Husars, Victorian advertising-column and the Western church), there is a 5th important set back as a DS-set: the 3787 Saloon !
I don't think though that Molly Brown is included, about the couter and closet with mirror I'm not sure (I hope not , I recently bought more of the furniture on evilbay ;D )
Further there is also the grey/green Sheriff's office , there are new indians and cowboys , and also new Union and Confederate soldiers to complement the Western-theme's comeback (the officers are fat guys, btw) and new pirates..
I think all figures are different from the ones available in the regular sets, except for the indians and Union soldiers I'm not completely sure if that is the case.
(indians / cowboys / soldiers /pirates: like usual for each 1 set with 3 figures and 1 set with a leader-figure).
For more stuff, you'll have to go look on KW but momentarily there aren't yet pics of everything.

This is great news! The saloon is one of Playmobil's best sets, in my opinion. I do hope it includes all the accessories, as they are great and it would be incomplete without them. I now regret spending a lot for a MISB one a couple years ago, but I'm glad others will get a chance to own one. The new soldiers, cowboys, and pirates sound great too! I'm really glad to see the Western theme return! :cowboy: :indian:

Ah, those are awesome (the Natives and cowboys)! That is great that there is a cowgirl, but I'd have liked a female Native too! :(
And most importantly... they are called the Sioux! Perhaps this means we are closer to a more eclectic assortment of Native Americans? :o
And are those individual arrows and other new items on the figures?

Yes, they are. The ones that come with the fort and all are, too. An interesting choice.

I love the new western figures. I just wish they would drop the "Sioux" title. It's not a proper term. I think we've had this discussion here before and I don't really want to get into it again. At least they do look, geographically speaking, like plains tribes.

It doesn't look as if the saloon contains the bar, which was the highlight of the set for me, but it does have some bottles and small furnishings at least. The accessories are better than nothing, but Geobra, as usual, could have done a lot better. I guess the set is better than the Sheriff's office which has no accessories. At least the schoolhouse and museum have most of their original accessories.
That's great news about the bison. I only have a couple and was looking to add a few more.
As for the klickies, it's good to see new ones, but they're a mixed bag. The Sioux look really good and the Confederate soldiers look pretty good too. It looks as if the Confederate officer is a fat sergeant so we thankfully won't have two of them in a three-pack. I don't really know why he has a shotgun and a pistol with no holster, but that's Geobra for you. It's good to see the Confederate soldiers in the more accurate single-breasted tunic. The cowboys look okay and it's good to see an Annie Oakley type figure. The Union soldier pack isn't great for army building, though, due to it having three very different soldiers, one of which appears to be a good candidate as a musician. The Union officer looks like the same old fat one with different cuffs and a historically incorrect early 20th century Montana hat. Despite being a staff officer, Geobra has decided to equip him with a shotgun and revolver but no sword and swordbelt. I guess the red trim means these Union soldiers are supposed to be artillery, although I wonder if Geobra really thought of it that way. Doing the soldiers right would really only take a bit more effort and thought on Geobra's part, but it presents a formidable challenge for collectors. As they are now, the soldiers are better than nothing, but far from what I would have done. Still, it's good to see the Western theme back in some form.

I just hope it is the old boring great one that was so perfect. I am afraid if Geobra tried to make it again it would be similar to the mammoths, all hallow and cheap feeling with no movement

Yes and no: it is made of 2 existing parts; the lower part is the same as a piece from a discontinued zoo (but now in brown instead of grey) and the upper-part is actually the lower-part from the Kitchen-oven in the previous Fairycastle-theme... 8}

It is a brown version of the new "medium-sized" barrel that comes in green with the renewed Western-theme.

Yaaay a new train wagon for me. The price of the museum :o. I hope it is the same in Belgium. The pizzeria looks aces. I'm restraining not to buy these modern house sets aswell:) . Love the fact that the saloon got rereleased aswell.

Yes, it's on page 19. Although it doesn't look entirely like the original, it's based on the 3988 which was first issued in 1998. I'm glad to finally be able to get my hands on the Victorian Kiosk.

Hello.I think that this items' catalogue is the best of all other catalogues!!!!There are many rare sets in very normal prices.I love saloon, sherriff's office, old school, museum, pizza shop.Also I adore hotel room, palace room for adults and palace children's room!!!I think that the only "expensive" items are the victorian advertising stand,and victorian hussards!They are in normal price comparing their rarity,but as a child I had bought them as complete sets in Greek stores, in very cheap price.Before 18 years I had bought advertising stand with 3 figures,about 900 drachmas (equal with 3 euros) and hussards including a small building, about 2.000 drachmas (equal with 6 euros)

The barrel is new, but we've seen pics of it before, in a green colour; it comes in several of the new Western sets, which will be released in Germany and Benelux-countries in August and rest of the world next year.
But I guess the brown one will beat the green one in release-time; it should be available in this DS set in Germany starting now around June, while it will first appear in the Western sets in August.
So:
Brown medium barrel -> DS range -> June 2012 for Germany only / January 2013 for the rest of Earth (*).
Green medium barrel -> new Western sets, regular range -> August 2012 in "home-market countries" (= Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg ... and Austria? ) / August 2013 all other countries.
(*): sometimes Geobra makes a few exceptions, and releases some new DS-sets sooner then anticipated.

thanks for the info, I definitely want a lot of these for the pirates, western, even the modern theme dioramas will need them. I like it a lot especially with the diffrent color for the bands. I wonder if it has a tap that is similar to the small and large barrel?

yes the pink parts are horrible, though if you replace them with the brown parts from the old fence and the black railings i think it would look good :)

Does it drive anyone else crazy that the emperor penguins come with two adults and FOUR babies? ::) They hatch one baby at a time. I'd much rather have four adults and two babies.

nop. the pegasus is bigger than horses so the clicky legs adjust perfectly to the body.

I'm not sure, actually. But I know for sure emperor penguins lay a single egg, and carry it around on top of their feet until it hatches.

I think that the new DS catalogue is wonderful with more interesting sets from the big catalogue.
I believe that playmobil company made this just for us the collectors!! :apple:
It's the first time that i want so many sets from a DS catalogue!!
The School House,the Sallon,the Museum(i think with a very good price! 40 euro),the Mounted Guards,the Advertising Column,the Fireplace in the Pizzeria,the Bison,the Gas Wagon and the new West Figures,are some of the sets that i want very much.
From the West figures i don't like the South's soldiers,i find them so empty and i don't like their yellow acessories,but i like the idea with the fat chiefs.
The new barel in Pirate set 6301 is fantastic.

I hope that the figures packs follow this year's catalogue in numbers and coolness in the future. These ones look really great, and I'd love to have some more packs of knights, pirates, cowboys, maybe some Gauls or Vikings again, some Celts if the special is any indication of a theme, and others (Crusaders? :D). I'm sure that some other themes would benefit from some figure packs too. These are always my favourite though!

Now I realized that 6293 bookcases have system x plugs in order to connect with the walls!They look like bookcase of 4326,although this one has no holes to put plugs!Also pizza shop has connectors and plugs in order to complete the walls of 6220!
