Title: PCFD has a special guest arrive from Malta CPD.
Post by: Bill Blackhurst on April 18, 2012, 03:52:25
After a brief discussion with Ryan who lives in Malta, Playmobil City Fire Department has had a special guest ambassador from CPD arrive at Playmobil City International Airport today! Gareth is his name, & he will be assigned to which ever of the 10 PCFD stations he wants to be stationed at. This is a brief photo story showing Gareth having pictures taken in front of the newest additions being assigned to the PCFD Station 13, custom brush firefighting Dozer 2 & Heavy Hauler 4. Notice the beautiful flag he brought with him for displaying at the station of his choice.

Ohh, did you show these off in a different tread ? Love the look of the ROPS. The one thing is if it has a winch on the back there sure better be a woven steal mesh cage around the operator. You would hate to see what happens when the winch line gets stuck on a stump or rock and breaks  :o steel lines act like rubber bands  :-\

Great looking crew, did he transfer due to your great retirement benefits package?

Good eyes, Ras! The ROPS is an update originating from the circus tractor. I'm currently looking into getting a couple of mesh pieces from DS. I have my eyes on a couple of versions that hopefully will work the way I want them too. When I used to go 4 wheeling, & was required to use a cable winch to free my vehicle, I knew to stand behind a protective barrier in case the cable snapped back! :o

BTW, he's got the same benefit package as all of the other PCFD employee's, which I've been told are the best in the business! Complete health insurance, eye & dental, along with a supreme disability benefit package all paid for by Playmobil City! ;)

Yeah, my dad worked at a ship dock, and he talked about the same thing. He saw some greusome injuries and worse caused by snapping cables.

I sure wish Geobra would use your design ideas and create either a larger modern dozer with ROPS for general construction or a completely new line for the rescue theme and have it a forest fire division. They once made the helicopter attachment for water drops so they know there is somewhat of a market. It seems there have been so many glorified forest fires kids might be interested in putting them out. There is also now the burning trees in the cave-woman theme to compliment it :P

We always put blankets or jackets on our truck winch lines so if it unhooks or snaps the weight on the line pushes it to the ground instead of through the window or a tailgate of a truck  ;) On the skidders or dozers there is the woven cages so no need.
