I am not sure what kind of bird, birds hate me :-\ so I do not bother learning their names but I do not recognize this one in this auction. Bird Auction Link (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Playmobil-Original-Mini-Figures-Accessories-Miniature-Jungle-Birds-Diorama-/170810841410?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c51e9942)
I do not think it is playmo but just to be sure I thought I would ask, in case I missed something new. After all is does say "original" in the auction and we all know we can believe everything we read :P

I saw that too. It's a cockatiel, which is much smaller than a scarlet macaw, so it's out of scale with playmobil. It is very playmo-ish, though, so I can understand this person's mistake! I wish playmobil would make one. I love birds.

i think playmo did,or not?
-
Not that I've ever seen, and I wouldn't miss it. I love cockatiels. And it's not on animobil.
-
it's not playmo
:)

the cacatoes in french , i just learn cokatiel is a custom parrot with painting and a bit milliput i think
-
It has two seperate feet, and the playmobil parrot has a uni-foot.
-
you're right Bonnie , maybe he cut or maybe it's not a playmobil ...

in spanish is similar: Cacatuas :)
good we can learn the names in every language! ;D

no matter what they are called keep those things away form me, they bite and hard :omg:
I was really hoping I missed something new, it look good to me and I could use diffrent types of birds. My parrot tree is looking ridiculously repetitive
-
The feet are also what makes me think it isn't Playmobil.

There is a similar and bigger bird also, called a cockatoo. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cacatua_galerita_-perching_on_branch_-crest-8a-2c.jpg) But this looks like the much smaller cockatiel. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cockatielmale.jpg) Cockatiels are actually really sweet and cuddly, I fell absolutely in love with one once at a breeder's house but couldn't get it at the time and it broke my heart! :( It would just cuddle up and lay its head on my chest.
Ras, you're right, birds can inflict nasty bites, just like dogs can. But well-trained, happy ones are an absolute thrill to be around! Also, if a parrot goes for your finger or arm slowly with his beak, he is not trying to bite you. They reach out and stabilize with their beaks as they step onto a new perch. There is a cockatoo at our local zoo that absolutely loves Chris, and will follow him back and forth from one end of his cage to the other reaching through the bars to hold his finger. No matter who else tries to play with him, he follows Chris. And if you bow to him, he'll dance and bow and fluff his feathers out. So cute!

Not Playmo that I'm aware of, and the plastic doesn't look quite right to me. Nice shape though
