Thanks for the link Andi. Some interesting stuff there. New horses with blankets, a palomino with socks, other horse with socks and other paint patterns. Fairyland? With yet another unicorn?? Racing surrey, new ponies, and I can't quite tell what the grey ones are - new donkey and baby or just a horse recolor?

I know I am going to have to own all of those fairy sets.  I also like the different breeds of horses.  How exciting!!

After a second look there are some interesting bits in these Spring releases. The new weeping willow tree will be nice for Dinosaur diaramas. Fairy wings for child figure size. All the new horses. The copy of my nobleman figure! (see the thread bumped up in the customizing forum).
And this - not in this batch of releases but at the top of the photo of the animals that includes some of the new horses:

Looks to me after much thought to be a baby buffalo??? New Western sets coming this year?

EDIT: Nevermind, Lumina pointed out it is a male boar. Good idea for a custom though...

Some good and some really bad stuff there.

 The good,

 I like the look of those fairy tale sets, especially the flower hats they are wearing, nice pieces of playmo. Not for me though far too girlie but I can see them being popular.

 The new equestrian sets look good too the new look jeep and horse box looks cool.

 The knight's black assult tower looks far better than the Target version, with some decent looking figures with it. The fold out castle is OK but it reminds me of Fisher Price sets like the farm David had when he was 2. I imagine it to look and feel really cheap, like some "made in China" toy close up, hope I'm wrong.

 The carry cases look great, all of those accessories you get, the Knights set is fantastic. If the price isn't too high You could probably buy them just for spare parts and use the cases for other favourite figures in your collection. I wonder if the cases will come with a part number and it will be possible to get them from DS?

 The bad,

  Those pull back and go cars are probably the worst thing I have seen Playmobil do, they are and will always be toys and never collectables like the rest of the themes they do.

I agree that the buggies are one of the worst things Playmobil has ever done.
But i like the fairies very much and i know where Playmobil got their inspiration.
Look at this

i have a book by M. Barker, flower fairies of the four seasons and they are exactly the same very nicely done!!

According to the German Portal the grey ones are donkies.  I wonder if they are updated or the same as the ones from the old goldmining sets.

I would love to see clearer pictures as well of all these new sets!  I wonder what kind of stuff is in store for the rest of 2007.

The first thing I did was go and take a closer look at the Feenwelt (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Link-Category?catalog=STOREFRONT_DE&name=Feenwelt) sets! :D

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but it appears that there is a new hairstyle coming for the girls as well as the little boys. Look at the fairy in the tu-tu in set 4199.

Not before time, I have to say! How many years is that now without a change? 25?! :o

I thought that might be new hair but I wasn't totally sure.  I wonder though if the crown stays attached... :-\
