Post by: DrDalek6 on February 28, 2012, 17:10:46: Hello there all my friends know me as Scott :), I'm a trained Gardener and a long serving volunteer at the Botanical Gardens for the last 3 and a half years doing at present 3 - 5 days a week, I've also recently started working with the City Centre Gardening team 1 day every other week and am hoping to volunteer with BTCV on a regular basis to learn more about conservation, helping wildlife and preserving the countryside etc.

I was born in the early 1990's and am general 'Toyaholic' ; D as I'd call it, my main collection at the minute is Action Man vintage and modern and I've also got a few toy cars and other toys from my childhood. At present I've got about 4 Playmobil figures, my oldest and favourite being a Policeman from early/mid 1990's, a later Shell mechanic, and a Knight alll of which are from my childhood and a more modern Pirate who ifound on my way home from work, they don't have much of their original accessories and some don't have their original hair/beards. A recent search on Ebay got me inspired and bidding on some items to complete my Policeman and Knight and hopefully I'll be able to add a Motorbike and rider I had as a kid to my collection later this week and possibly some more that I had a sa kid or remember from my era in the near future.

Thanks, good to hear that someone's having luck finding a job I hope you're enjoying your Horticulture course I really enjoyed learning at College. Working at the Botanical Gardens has provided me with a great opportunity to put the theory into practise doing loads of practical work, just love working outside well apart from when we have absolute downpours rain is one thing but, sometimes :o :-\

Thanks I think the AMen'll take some beating, speaking of which I already have them dressed up like us Council workers in their boots and greens by heck they've even got spades and kneepads ;D next thing I'll be making them secateurs 8}. I've seen some of the Gardening sets at the minute I'm concentrating on the ones from my childhood but, I think a Gardener or 2 and some tools will have to join the collection at some point having said that if I get started on that then my team of Gardeners'll really grow and they'll have a mini toolshed not to mention a National Collection of plastic plants and a Tarctor and mower to go with ;D : :)
