Went to Dalscone Farm, our local children's open farm that has a large toy shop today, just to buy eggs (or so I told Sandy) and to see if they had any series one fi?ures left, and could hardly believe it when I saw they had series 2 :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
I think I rather embarrassed my eldest son with my reaction
Last time, this shop was the last in the country I think to get the fi?ures.
I had a great time feeling packets and came away with the ones I wanted - plus a knight that somehow found itself in the pile I had chosen. I would have liked a couple more females but had to restrain myself - until next week!
These are what I got...

I don't know if anyone has shown details of the back of the princess' hair and the lovely flower on the monkey girl's hair but here it is...

I was a little disappointed that the princess' hair has small holes in it for the stars, I would have liked it without really to be able to use it on other klickies, but she really is beautiful and I love her clutch bag, which even has a little gold bow on it.
Elvis' outfit seems to match her dress and we wondered if, with different hair and maybe a crown he could be her partner.
I was surprised that the rapier on the pirate is so bendy, somehow it doesn't seem like Playmobil. I expect if I'd found it amongst the boys' other toys I would have put it as being from another type of figure rather than Playmobil.
Last week I bought a series 1 figure - the female with the pointed hat and blue skirt with pink flowers, when I opened the bag it had two scarves, but only one arm and no torso!
Today I got an extra basketball in with the basketball player so I suppose I'm even now :)

Oh, congrats! The princess is soooo beautiful. Can't wait to get her. That's too bad about the holes in the hair, though. :-\
Geobra, if you're listening, PLEASE give us a fancy up-do with no holes anywhere! :prays:
-
I am so jealous!!! i want them so badly!!!!!
congrats!
-
Interesting to see, thanks for posting the rear shots
-
Ah, I want some too! And I agree that the bendable rapiers aren't that great. :( I don't have any yet, but I don't imagine using them much when I do get some. And I wish the knight had grey (or black) hands!
And how are the fairy's wings attached? Can they be removed without leaving holes or clips or something? I doubt it... :(
-
Can't wait til I get my hands on some of those! Thanks for the photos...
-
Ah! they are so wonderfull, Elaine!! Thank you for the pics!!! They look even better than I imagined!!!

I'm pretty sure the back is like that of the fairy from the 4148 set. It has a big, square hole in the back.

Couldnt resist getting two figures yesterday when at the store, sadly with my luck I managed to pick two of the same figure, and one I didnt care much for either. :(
So now I have the blue astronaut twice. I gues it might be used for some diorama, but I think I will refrain from buying more figures in the future.
-
Thanks for the photos, Elaine. Apparently, Playmobil messed up and the Series 2 F?gures weren't delivered to the UK when they should have been, hence the lack of them at Knaresborough.
So far, none of them has appealed to me, but maybe in the future...
-
Just some info : the "Geisha" also has the very nice new :) flower in her hair, the same as "Jungle Jane", only in red.

Ah! That doesn't look good. :o

Thanks for the pics!
Looking forward to getting mine...

Oh Elaine, I'm so jealous!
I've been seing them on eBay and on UK shops online for the past week.
Phoned toys 'r' us to check if they were in or not because it's quite a way to go. A most rude and unhelpful woman said they weren't there and they did not know what stock they were getting until it arrived in the truck. :hmm:
Anyway been shopping today checked both toys 'r' us and toymaster...nothing. :wall:
Loving the photos, they show so many more details. I'll have to be patient. ;D

Thought I'd post close ups of the cheerleader without the skirt.
She is much thinner than the other figures, though probably the same as the ballet dancer, but I haven't got her yet.
I thought that she could be used in a gymnastic display as a member of another team from the one that's due out soon - but she would need to have bare feet and wondered if it's possible to swap legs with one of the bikini klickies - I haven't taken any of those apart yet.
I looked at Bonnies description of how to do so, but wondered if the individual legs could be removed at all?

omg such an exciting purchase, Elaine!
-
Thanks for the pic :)
Those klickys pop he same as the others, but I don't think you can change the individual legs without breaking something :( Anyone managed to do that yet?
-
despite what I said earlier, I went ahead and bought three more figures. Sadly again I picked up two of the same, but at least one was original. Sadly I got the knight once and the fellow with the dog twice. He has some useable parts, but I have no figures to really mix them up with. the spacemen I got earlier are useless for that. :(
-
As "unique" as that helm looks on the knight, I do think it can be cool looking on some figures. This knight is one of them, but like I said - he would look way better if his hands weren't flesh-coloured. :(
-
please continue sharing these very clear photos of your Fi?ures 2!
I have no interest in any Fi?ures 2 and might not buy any
(thats what I said when Fi?ures 1 came out but when I saw them in the shop, I just gave in and in and only stopped when I started getting repeats and figures I definitely didnt want...just like Rhalius here ;D)
-
looking great, thanks for the close up pictures. all my boys are eagerly awaiting series 2 :confetti:

I can tell you, series 2 is MUCH better than series one, imho-and much more usable as "parts" supply too!
Luckily I have a 100% accurancy rate "feeling" the bags, so for me it's just like buying "specials" now. :)
-
I wish I was able to feel them better. :(
Even at home before opening I didnt get it right, thought I felt something round and thought it was the basketball from the basketball player, but it was the green hat from the german fellow.
.. Lets just hope no clickies will file any complaints about being felt up so extensively though.

:lmao: :lmao:
(I can't do any guess work that way either :-[ )

I have not had luck with figuring the fi¿ures out either, I usually get impatient. I now let the kids guess and if they get it right then they get the next one. They are now 100% accurate. I just want to know with out all the fuss ::)
-
The black knight, has his armour the usual colour or is it the "new soft-cheap-dull looking colour" as with the Ritter Christopher II German exclusive?
From some pics, I've the impression it is the latter again...

I think the colour's alright, at least the ones I bought don't stand out amongst my other knights. :)
-
anyone got the ninja with nunchaku sticks? can you please show us a close up or his torso and pants' printing? thanks in advance! :)
(and once Fi?ures 2 is available in London, please let us know)

yes but they never work for free, I no longer get to pay them in blue, its all green-backs for them now :P
(and once Fi?ures 2 is available in London, please let us know)
or who is finding them in the US, please
-
i just saw the pics in detail and i must admit the new fairy's skirt is really lovely
i like the jungle woman - i hope we get to see a jungle man (tarzan-like) in series 4
-
they are not in the US yet, as far as i know or have heard.
-
I thought we (USA) were supposed to get these in February. I checked TRU today, and instead of series 2, they had a new supply of series 1! They had been completely sold out for some time.
How much longer must we wait? I can't take it much more! Must have series 2!
-
Just in case you guys wanted to know, it appears that the website has been updated with Series 2 on the "Online-mixer" to test out combinations, or even to get better looks at some of the parts! It's great fun! :)

Also - make sure you play with sound on for some surprises!
-
thats quite funny, I love the yodeling clickie. Kind of helps me get over having that one twice.
On the other hand, now I am just hoping those two won't ever start yodeling and keep me from sleeping. ;)

I won't give it away, but try some of the leg options for a funny surprise too.
