Whilst sorting out my playmo I realised I have a lot of garden centre stuff (Is it bad when you start to forget what you own ) !
Spent a happy few hours watching the cycling on TV and doing this. Some of the plants seem to have fallen over-the employees aren't very attentive. ;)
The shop has had an extension to accommodate office space from which top manage the business. ;)
Enjoy the pics. :munch:

That's really nice...
Is that "earth" on the bottom left plasticine?
I missed that theme completely :(

Lovely creation!!!

I think there were two sorts in the theme, the plastic soil that I have in the picture or actual plasticine that you could rake and dig and stuff (bit too messy for me ;)).
I used to have a part time job in a garden centre so the theme particularly appeals to me. :)

Ah, ok... I think it would be too messy for me too...
They look great. (MUST NOT buy)

Great diorama! I have a lot of that theme also, for a Playmobil City Floral Supply Center, but never have done anything with all of the sets! Now, you've lit a fire to do something with it! Thank you for sharing this project with us!

An excellent diorama, Verity. I like the use of the stone paper for cobbles.
-
Nice diorama. Is that the one on the display board/setup?
I'm a bit concerned about those expencive looking power tools just lying there outside :uhoh:
Damo :)

This looks great, verity! It's a really nice size garden center. I'm also curious about the soil in those flower beds... what is it exactly?
-
Nice photo's. Reminds me now spring is coming I have to get some new plants. :)

It's the shop display stuff yes but with my existing stuff and extras added to make it more interesting.
The power tools get locked away inside an night (both to stop them getting damaged and to stop them being stolen). ;)

It's a complete base board seen in this thread here:

It's plastic. This part:
30 25 2270 - Dirt for plant bed, with slits for sprouts (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-25-2270)
It's one mould with lines in it to look like it has been raked and 8 holes for putting in shoots or flowers. The other type you could get was plasticine:
30 89 9712 - Clay for plant bed (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-89-9712)
which you could dig and rake with the tools yourself. :hmm:

Great garden center! It's a good time of the year to start thinking about springtime and gardens.

Oh I see.... I had no idea that part existed! It looks very useful. The plasticine stuff might be a good feature for kids, but not all that long-lasting. Good to know they include an alternative for when it's gotten all full of dust and hair. ;)

I also have some of these sets, still sitting in their boxes. This thread has certainly motivated me to get them open and set up. Thanks for the pics!!

Thanks for all the kind comments-I'm glad you liked it.
It was really fun to do and I encourage you to rip open those boxes now that spring in nearing! ;)
