That must have been exactly what happened, Andi !!!

I just went there a few minutes ago and it was LIGHTNING FAST !!!

You are so good at "spreading the word" that Playmobil should put you in their promotion department !!!

Playmobil should also make Bart's intro and game available on CD or DVD. I'd buy it.! And, I think a lot of other people would too.

I would also buy ALL the buildings !!! I know that they are all made from parts available through DS, but I would rather have them packaged. (It's just easier!)

Thanks again, Andi ... And, a BIG thank you to Collectobart for another winner !!!

All the best,
Richard

THE WOODEN SWORD
(DAS HÖLZERNE SCHWERT)

And, I'm happy that I went ALL the way through the game. The "FINALE" is well worth the effort of winning the game !!! ...  :yup:

WOWOWOW! Those buildings are fantastic!

The ones in the top image would be PERFECT for a nativity scene. They are magnificent. Thanks Richard for the images, and thanks Bart for the wonderful architecture!

Hello, Cap'n Henry and Rob ...

Do y'all remember the imaginary nativity set that Bart created at Collectobil one Christmas awhile back? ... ;o)

All the best,
Richard

(Hmmm ... I forgot to BOLD Bart's name.) ...  :eh?:

Amazing! I had not seen that!    :D  Truly talented he is. His backgrounds are awesome as well.  Im hoping to get an early start on my Victorian Christmas story this year!

Rob   ;)

Yes, Bart and Ralf are probably two of our best Playmobil artists!
(A true Playmobil artist uses only Playmobil parts ... Unlike me) ... :)

If you haven't seen Ralf's custom Playmobil sets, you need to hot foot it over to GW-PC ... ;)
(Ralf also did some of the art that currently adorns the walls at Playmobil Zirndorf.)

All the best,
Richard

Remember it? Heck, I heavily "borrowed" :D from it:

Indeed you did, Cap'n Henry ... ;)

The game is awesome! I made it a ways through except I just can't jump high enough to keep the Chariots from running me over!  :D

Will have to try more to get all the way to the end.  :P
Rob

Keep trying, Rob. I think that you'll enjoy the "finale" ... :)

We all to thank Andi for telling us about Bart's latest (and greatest) creation ...  :*)

Oh so cool.  8-) 8-) 8-)
Gotta have Romans, gotta have buildings
Am I the only one who finds the bending at the knees a little odd for Playmobil figures? It's almost disturbing in a way. Like they have all been lying to me all this time...

Wow, the buidlings are quite cool. Seem that they really could come true, especially those from the first picture. You really can recognize that they are built from original PM parts (some of the larger buildings in the second pic doesn't look like that).

Ah .. the bending of the knees ...  8}

No lies, Tim ...

It happens late at night ... after we've all gone to sleep ... :zz:
(Set your video camera with a timer tonight and you might catch them.) ...  :omg:

Or, write to Bart at Collectobil for the "secret" ...  ::)

All the best and good luck, ... ;)
Richard

Finally got it to run right, and you are absolutely correct Richard - it is worth the effort to see the end segment!

Very cool Bart! I am amazed at the animation sequences - I am waiting for a full-length movie! (Why not? Lego has done it with their Bionicle line, and Mega-Blocks has done it with their Dragons line...)

They sure seem to be heading that way. Each new game seems to have an even bigger intro movie section.

I loved the game it was really fun!  :)
I think it had very good computer animation in it too.  ;D
The hardest match in the ring was the last one. It took me
ages to complete because the chariots kept on knocking me over!!!  8-)

I agree, Mawson ... I think that this is by far the best game ever produced by Playmobil !!!

I would love to see it expanded into a full CD video game that we could buy !!!

And, a movie, Cap'n Henry and Tim ... ;)

Over the weekend I loaded this game at home (due to dial-up, it took over an hour! :( ).

But it was well worth it to be able to let the kids play it (I had already done so at "work" :D ).
They really loved it, and in fact as soon as they were done, Merboy went downstairs to recreate the battles using out only gladiator (this year's Special)!

BTW, Sirena managed to get through the game on her own, but Merboy still needs a little help. ;)

I just played this game again, first time in a year.

The movie portions show figures and buildings that haven't appeared in the Roman theme yet.

Does anybody know if these things are likely to appear, or if this is artistic license on the part of Playmobil?

Oh, pretty sure I saw Mary running for cover just before the Romans attack with their fireballs!

Well, I would rate changes being quite low that playmo is going to release some of the buildings as civilian roman sets.
Even though, it's really a pity.  ::)

According to Richard, Bart designed all these buildings with already existing parts. In other words, all Geobra would have to do is:
- printing some instructions for roman civilian buildings
- producing some existing parts in new colors.

Does not sound too bad, but maybe perspective for selling a huge number of them is not very large.  ???

best,
socrates

Hey by the way Martin, anyone

If you want to save the videos accompanying the game for posterity--

1) Load in internet explorer
2) in IE->Options->Advanced open the folder that stores your temporary files.
3) Copy off the *.flv files and give them decent names.
4) Replay in an FLV player (freeware)

Alternatively ask me and I'll email you the files.   ;)
