Title: My new layout!
Post by: highlandcattle on February 05, 2012, 22:09:03
When Playmobil announced a new train. I got all giddy inside. We recently bought a house and I was waiting for a new layout after all the work was done. But I just couldn't wait :). I didn't even know I had this much track!

I'll do a better a newer film once the layout is complete!

Here is a daytime video. Some quality has been lost in encoding, maybe I should try youtube the next time.

I've been adding sets I never really played with before. So that there is some life to the layout. I'll be adding some more soon. I have a lot of never opened sets :). Also two more points arrived. they are in bad condition but I can refurbish them!

We can see it much better now, HC; thank you.

Would it be possible to post a photo showing the overall layout, please?

you know you're a die-hard PM fan if you opt to by several metres of track in lieu of a bedframe!  PM: aka "plastic crack" lol.  Just kidding my friend, I would (and have) done the same.  Wonderful layout!

Oh, I definitely would do that too! I cringe to think how many times I have put playmobil ahead of such things. :-[

A really great layout, I'd also love to see a still pic of the whole thing.

I do need to tell you that this is not the bedroom, but that we currently sleep in the toy room since the bedroom isn't finished yet! By the way these pictures are already outdated, I already added a new siding, but that is for tomorrow.

Thanks! I just built it at the moment, no plans or anything  :-[.

Slowly I'll add new stuff. It is fun rediscovering your collection and finding stuff I had totally forgotten about.
I really didn't know I had this much track, some of it is dirty and broken but I'll take my time cleaning everything off.
The two very cheap switchpoints I just are also not fully operational but I'll repair them
