Well, I burned the midnight oil last night and took down the village and put up the Egyptian theme. I'm a little disappointed because I didn't have enough room on the table to display the Egyptian army or the Roman army. *sigh* I guess I'll have to add buy a bigger house to my 2012 Playmobil goals ;)

Woops. I don't know how those Christmas pics got in there...

Oh, this is so awesome, Jenna!!! I love how you incorporated the safari theme so you would have a nile river. Looks great! Those leopards must really love that guy....
Lol about the christmas pics. I was trying to figure out where there was any playmobil in there! :giggle:

Fantastic set-up! Makes me wish I bought the entire Egyptian theme when TRU had it drastically reduced! Must remind myself that I refrained for a reason. (No more space!) I, too, love the way you've incorporated the safari theme. Well done!
-
I agree, beautifully combined sets. Love the area with the flamingos
Your under-paper is a perfect color too
-
Wonderful setup! It looks great! :)

Fantastic diorama Jenna!! I love it!! Its nice how you placed this safari/jungle river, put together form the four different sets into, to give the diorama more character!! Now I want these sets too ;D

Beautiful! beautiful! Just bought the safari theme myself and wanted to combine the river in the egyptian theme too. You beat me to it. (still going to combine them of course in my merineith story :) )

i was afraid of openning this thread because i was sure it would push me to get more Egyptian sets sooner than planned :omg:
masterfully combined indeed - love the Nile river!

Great dio!
I also love the combination, and like Tiermann, also noticed the perfect color of the "ground"...
(I have VERY mixed feelings about that skin thing... it's creepy)
-
Great diorama :wow:! Professionally done ground color :)9! Nice kitties :0!
-
Nice ! the ground colour fits perfect to the playmosets. like some others said before : the combination of the animal themes and the egypt theme fits perfect. congrats to this beautifull diorama !

Wow, this is so creative! Those themes look marvelous together, and you did such an amazing job setting them up! Looks like fun.
Thanks for the pictures!

Awesome diorama, Jenna. Now I want the Egyptian theme. :P
-
Thank you all so much  I second-guessed myself about getting the Egyptian theme too, but when it went ridiculously cheap at TRU, I just couldn't help myself. I'm really glad I did though. It is really gorgeous. And, without new sets being released, there is an end to the madness....at least with this theme  The color of the sand is actually fabric bought from a craft store. It is such a rich and warm color, every time you enter the room you can't help but smile :D

I like the egyptian theme a lot and this is a very nice diorama   Indeed clever integration of the safari theme, well done!!

This is a lovely diorama! The Egyptians and Safari items look great together and your ground color is spot on too. I really like the photo with the Roman officers visiting the Pharaoh and would love to see more of the two armies, but I understand about the lack of space. (My tables are never big enough for my visions.) :)
