Title: Getting price stickers off of boxes
Post by: Rasputin on December 16, 2011, 23:36:52
Ok first off,

:xmascheer: A Supper Big Thank You to Gis & Indianna for getting us these sets in the U.S. :xmascheer:

the 5206 sets are so beautiful and dear to me that I will be keeping the boxes :toot:. Now the local mom and pops do the same around here with their small price tags and bigger clearance tags so I am not in total disbelief of the situation. The box has a very large, by large I mean there is no way to not notice it, bright yellow price on it. It is right on the horses nose. I want it off and cleanly. Has anybody attempted to remove these paper type stickers?

I got a couple of those with a HUGE sticker too, but they peeled right off, in one piece and without leaving any trace  :)

Unfortunately, not always the case.

I slid a nail under the edge just enough to grab it and it came off without a problem so the sticky on that sticker isn't as bad as some. I really hate the kind with slits in them so you have to get it right 4-5 times instead of just once... it is a LOVELY box

:xmascheer: Public Thanks for mine too Gis and Indianna  :xmascheer:

Ha, I couldn't wait as I am about to leave the office and want to give the boys the set tonight.

I plucked at the edge for a few minutes and when I ever so carefully bit by bit lifted the sticker I was able to grab an edge as even slower peal it off cleanly.

Thanks for the info, I hope the other one works too and it sounds like every one else is having good luck with these.

I've had luck with heating the spot with a hairdryer before attempting to peel it off. What I hate is when I have 95% of the sticker off and then the very last bit tears.  :hissyfit:

Tuesday Morning's stickers are the easiest to get off to remove.

That is what I was afraid of. I think these stickers were fresh so they came off cleanly
