it all starts in 1991-92 with the 3799 schatzinsel.
2 equal european versions:
v1: 1991/92-1997
v2: 1997-1999
in 2005 the same island with different figures and some extra accessories is launched as a karstadt exklusiv - the 4073 schatzinsel.
direkt service (both european and american( have the hut form this island available as the 7436 aussichts-hütte (observation hut) with a yellow roof
a brown roof was named the 7298.

in 1996 the first european fortress - a prison - is launched.
it's the 3859 piraten-verlies (it goes until 2000).
1n 1999 target in the u.s. launches its american version, apparently with 2 box versions, the 3914.
in 2008 direkt service re-launches just the buiding, the 7377 turmverlies.

the same tower is later used to produce the 2002 american 3351 harbor prison tower.
the green-coat turns into a red-coat and one of the pirates turns into a skeleton.
still using the green-coat soldier spain's playmobil mixes the 3859 tower set with the 3794 piraten set to create the 9989.

also in 1996 the famous (i decided so) 3861 pirateneiland that goes until 1998.
i think this small set is one of playmobil's highest achievments.

the other schooner, the one with red sails also comes with a different rocky island.
it's the european 2003 3133 special edition 25 years pirates (export exklusiv) and its twin the american 3619 pirates special value set (with 2 versions, v1-2001, v2-2003

in 2001 there comes another soldiers' fortress/prison, this time using blue-and-red-coats and a lot of extras (those were the days) - the 3112 gefängnisfestung (2001-2004) and its american twin, the 3288 naval stronghold.
in 2008 direkt sevice re-issues the bare building with some acessories as the 7376 soldatenfestung (or prison fortress in the american version).
a smaller version of the 3112/3288 is produced in america in 2004 - the 5727 pirate dungeon

from 2001 to 2005 playmobil produces the 3127 superset piraten, also in an american version (2002) called pirates starter set.

in 2004 american playmobil launches another small island, the 5728 treasure island (actually a small sand cave).
