Hello Friends,
at klickywelt.de we made 2017 a secret Santa.
I made a fantasy dwarf with a new beard.
After i made this, i thought about more and detailed beards for vikings or dwarfs.....

Looking forward to more pics!

Andi,
Wonderful beards!
Looks like your Playmobil figures have benefitted from all of your years of being a master baker. Some of your new beards look almost good enough to eat ... ;)
Did you use sculpy or bread dough to make them? (I’m just making a silly joke.)
Your beards are really magnificent. Actually much more professional than what some of the Spanish makers have produced over the years.
Thank you for sharing!
Gruß und Happy New Year,
Richard

Back again....many thx for your feedback. :wow:

 Richard it is no bread dough i used Marzipan. (joke, too)
Ok lets start.....
I still had the problem that the bars were too thin and break, I have now improved.
I want to make the beards with resin, this time i used putty like greenstuff.

Here two other ideas.

The new beard build with figures.

Did you make the one on the right with "green stuff" ?
Does it hold? It doesn't break?
(I used brown stuff, and found it kinda .. brittle after "cured")

Brown stuff sets harder and holds edges better. It's also easier to file. It would be better used for things like hats, tools and non-removable collars. For anything that needs to be clicked over something else then green stuff is better as it has some elasticity after curing. Green stuff also sticks to things better so is better to add details to existing items with.
Green stuff is also known as kneadatite blue/yellow. The separate blue and yellow is better than the combined ribbon as it wont go hard where the colours join if left for a long time.

Thank you! I have brown stuff... didn't try the green one yet. But I will. Eventually. Everyone knows how slow I am by now, right?

Perish the thought, tahra. You are a major Playmobil mind. :playmo: :)9
Please, nobody here think ill of themselves!

Not really a case of thinking ill of myself.. It is a fact that I AM slow in getting to things :-[ ... and a very known fact by now too! :P
(wasn't even commenting on my skill - or lack of it ::) )
