On this second day of competition we start Group F with a match between the Local Hero Sir Merriadoc and Sir Cecil of Odray of Ethero Valley. While the spectators once again start cheering for their champion, few people notice the determined look in Sir Cecil’s eyes.

With a skillful maneuver we have no seen yet, Sir Cecil manages to score a hit on Sir Merriadoc’s body, who is a tad slow on adjusting his lance, and misses.

Sir Merriadoc: 0 points
Sir Cecil: 2 points

On the next run Sir Cecil focuses solely on two things the tower on Sir Merriadoc’s shield and getting his shield in front of Sir Merriadoc’s lance. As they approach each other the tower becomes bigger and bigger and Sir Cecil can’t imagine him ever missing his target which seems as big as the actual Guard Tower. He hits the shield perfectly in the middle, and Sir Merriadoc needs to settle with a shield hit as his only hit in this match.

Sir Merriadoc: 1 point (-2 PD)
Sir Cecil: 3 points (+2 PD)

Next up are Sir Bartholomew of Salish and Aziz bin Tarek. Both are looking for their second win to be one step closer to the elimination rounds of the tournament.

On the first pass Sir Bart goes slightly higher than intended and hits Aziz on the turban. Aziz narrowly misses Sir Bart’s shield so he won’t go on the tally board this run. Without any facial protection this round could have ended a lot worse for Aziz.

Sir Bart: 2 points, -1 honour
Aziz: 0 point

On the second run both jousters manage to get their lance inside the others shield. However the experience with this kind of confrontation is clearly in Sir Bart’s favor and he manages to lift Aziz from the saddle while being able to, with a lot of effort, stay seated himself.

Sir Bart: 5 points (+3 PD)
Aziz: 2 points (-3 PD)

After the second day we have the following standing in Group F:

1) Sir Bart: 2 wins, 1 honour, +5 PD
2) Sir Cecil: 1 win, 0 honour, 0 PD
3) Aziz: 1 win, 0 honour, -1 PD
4) Sir Merriadoc, 0 wins, 0 honour, -3 PD

In this group all still have a shot at advancing although for Sir Merriadoc, things really need to go exactly according to plan in BOTH matches.

Well things seem to be going well so far, advancement is all mine to lose.
I really recommend Sir Aziz the addition of some proper head armour. You are taking great unnecessary risk.

Whoot, whoot!   ;D ;D Sir Cecil pulled one out, against the hometown boy nonetheless.

I hope their won't be any allegations of doping with magic apples... :-[
All of the matches today were great in all groups.  Alot more people getting knocked off their horses.  I was wondering if we will see any combat on foot?   I can't wait to see what happens next. Very exciting   ;D

I actually forgot to write down the +1 honour he got in the first match.

First Match +1 honour
Second Match -1 honour, +1 honour

End result +1 honour

Sorry for that

As Sir Merriadoc comes out on the field, the crowd starts cheering very hard. With the Crown Prince out already, they really want one of their local heroes to advance. Aziz shows a fierce determination, to which the crowd doesn’t react positively.

Sir Merriadoc tries very hard to go for a quick unhorsing but Aziz isn’t easily fooled. As they clash, they hit each other’s shield almost splintering their lances.

Sir Merriadoc: 1 point
Aziz: 1 point

The second pass sees both men being much more business. Less faints straight to the goal. The result however is the same as the first run, as both get a shield hit.

Sir Merriadoc: 2 points
Aziz: 2 points

For the last round Aziz tries some of the same fakes again, Sir Merriadoc however goes for a fancy trick and succeeds. He lets his lance waiver to the inside, whips it to the outside to and gets inside the shield at the last moment.  Aziz is able to get another shield hit which is not enough to continue the match.

Sir Merriadoc: 4 points (+1 PD)
Aziz: 3 points (-1 PD)

Here is the decider in Group F, if Sir Cecil wins both are through, however if Sir Bart wins it will come to Tiebreakers for second place.

On the first run Sir Bart manages to hit Sir Cecil on the shield. Sir Cecil fails to execute his move completely and misses.

Sir Bart: 1 point
Sir Cecil: 0 points

Focused and determined Sir Cecil pulls out all the stops but Sir Bart sees this in time and manages to get his shield in the way of what could have been a nasty hit. His offense however suffered for it and he missed.

Sir Bart: 1 point
Sir Cecil: 1 point

In the next run both combatants focus on not getting hit, their tactics work very well as neither of them is able to hit the other.

Sir Bart: 1 point
Sir Cecil: 1 point

On the last pass Sir Cecil goes for a faint but is unprepared for the thrust of Sir Bart’s lance. He gets hit on the helmet and fumbles his attack.

Sir Bart: 3 points, -1 honour (+2 PD)
Sir Cecil: 1 point (-2 PD)
