My favourite is number 23! ;)
Great idea! :)9
Do I need to have the knight myself?
If not, so I would like him to be my champ! ;)
"The availability of the knight of course depends solely on my collection, which in my opinion is quite decent at this point."
Nope you don't have to own him yourself. So he will now be your champion in the Tournament.
Thank you for joining :-)
Good, maybe you meant we both should have it. Now it's clear! ;)
People like to short my name into "Shiri". That's okay for me! :D
His preference was for number 15 the green dragon, but as that isn't available could be have number 12 green diamond. (green is his favourite colour!)
(He did want a skeleton as his knight but I told him I didn't think that would be allowed )

BTW, if I become involved in this competition, can I send you a rifle, pistol, SWAT team shield, & etc. to equip my knight :knight: since I'm a modern collector ? (Just kidding!)
Will there be any wagers on the competitions ;)?
Thanks for securing my pick, Gis :thanks:! I'm getting excited :woohoo:! I'm going to ebay now, to bid on some knight theme items :shhhh:!

For a moment there Bill I thought your were bribing him!
Not a bribe, but it would definitely have given my knight an advantage, but I was denied :P! I could picture it now,...my knight mounted upon his noble steed,..... fixing the crosshairs of the sight mounted upon the sniper rifle on to the challenging knight across the tourney field,.... ;D

Elaine will be kindly sending me number 7 but I will only make it available to choose when I have the physical object in my hands!!
Maybe it's the slippery slope to starting collecting the mediaeval theme......too late for me!!
He is still available Richard, so he will be your champion! Great to have you join usKNIGHT #14 THE RED DRAGON KNIGHT for me ... is he still available?
Maybe it's the slippery slope to starting collecting the mediaeval theme, but please may I have No. 7 when you get the caparison from Elaine?
Caparison and both shields are on their way!
Elaine (http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/mgqueen.gif)
OK Gordon, he is reserved for you. Thank you for joining.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I'd like the eagle knight #24, if he's still available. :knight:
i'd like to be knight #26! I don't usually get too into the knights theme, but i'll get my husband in on it, as he collects them.
I have to say Gis that my favorite is number 18!
Could you give me 'Black lion head slashed' number 28?
I'd be proud to represent Flanders on the tournament! ;D :knight:
Great idae, Gis~~!!
I would love to choose Yellow Pleated the NUMBER TWO candidate!!!!! Am I too late for this, I am quite busy recently and have missed so many things.
I am really glad to sse so many playmofriends joining!!! I think we are in for some good action!!! :knight: :knight: :knight: :knight: :knight: :knight:
He's still availabe Heronimus! So ;et me know what kind of knight you would like to put on!
Current still available Caparisons (Your knight doesn't NEED a caparison to join so other options are more then welcome as well!)
19) Bull Knight Slashed
25) Silver Axe Slashed
29) Eagle Knight Slashed
Oh, so I have to add in a knight? I love the chromed helmet, which I dont have one, and would be cool if he can fight for me in the tournament~~!!
Sorry I havent been clear on that before. I managed to get a hold of the first two Caparisons without their respective knights. So for these two you would kind of need to supply your own design and then we'll see if I have it avail in my collection.I see, thanks. Like what WK has suggested, maybe I should add the 4434 as a subsitute, they both have shiny silver helmet~~!!! :P
Giorginetto who choose number 1 OBVIOUSLY chose to go with a Nuremburg Knight which I have so that wasnt a problem. I am sure we'll find something for you that is according to your tastes Heronimus!
How will you decide who wins the fights? Will you roll a 20-sided die like when we played D&D? ???
Oh that would be really fun to do!!! ;D ;D ;D :yup: :yup: :yup: :yup:
I really like this arab knight Ali Baba! How did you do the armour?
I used a sheet of white stickers, painted them silver. I have a small cutting machine for photo's. I used that to cut the plates individually and stuck them on a white body.
I really wanted a saracen look, but did't have a white platemail body.
I've put the original pics in my photoalbum, so you can enlarge the pics.
Thanks!!
About the helmet: Almost! I first drilled out the turban and put the piece of bullet helmet in.
It's the Ritter Christopher with silver outfit instead of golden, and matching feather (clear blue). Can you make it? The harness for the horse comes from the 30th b-day Special I think, but a silver one will do if you can't spare this one.

Hello Gis,
I ve been very busy making my custom.
Not sure about the shield yet and Aziz will be getting some sort of chasuble over his armour with his colours on it. Not quite finished yet.
Now I have some questions.
Is the fight to the death? If so, I need to sharpen my lance and give it a steel tip. No problem, I would be happy to do that.
Is the sword admissable? I didn't put the platemail all the way to around the back. Do I need to do that?
Are the helmet and armour okay?
Are magic swors alowed? Because the king is giving away 3 magical items as a reward?
Do I need to bring more equipment? Tent, a couple of guards? Money? Incense? Mirre?
Does Aziz need to visit a church or attend some ungodly ritual?
Who decides when two knights fight, who the winner is? Sorry, if I didn't read it, if you already said that.
I am planning to use some die rolling, either by the person who's knight it is, or I will do so myself if that person is not interested.
The exact way how we will resolve these things is yet to be decided, as there are MANY options and I want to make sure people are having fun and it gives good story telling opportunities.
I will post final battle rules in this thread obviously!
What about an initial joust,
Then a foot fight for after someone has been knocked off.
2 points knocking someone off,
then 3 bouts, each worth one point. :)
Ties count as misses.
And there were other tournament events,
Like a grand Melee that we could recreate. ;D
So your sissy infidel knight has killed 4 (only 4??) yellow scaredypants dragon knights 10 (TEN!!!) years ago, and now he thinks he can win the tournament? Do we have to be scared of him?
:lol   I'm enjoying this so much!
Especially your knight Ali Baba. My knight got his eys on him and will turn him first into an Arabic Kebab with his Spear

Oh yes! ;D
Hey Gis!
This is live chat! You actually never sleep either! OK, I'm waiting ten more minutes!
A.
Lion Diamond Slash it is.
Let the games begin! >:D
YAY I managed to get a hold of the NEW knights advent calender!!
Me too! Got all this on friday night!
Man I love Switzerland (and my wife who works there!)
:woohoo:
Good haul!!!!!! Is there more playmo in Switzerland than in France?
No. But they follow the German market so the Playmobils are out there before France.
Are there secret champions that we don't know of?
Maybe
I hear the DM inside Gis talking..... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Yeah! Nothing as unnerving as the guy rolling dice behind his screen and smiling to himself before saying: "Remind me who's the first to enter the room?"
I hear the DM inside Gis talking..... ;D ;D ;D ;D
mmm what's DM? :-[
This can answer your question Gaston ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeon_Master
I did a quick google for Winterhaven and found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_Haven,_Florida
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_Haven,_Florida)
......."This Legoland when opened in the fall of 2011 will be the largest Legoland park in the world."
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? THIS IS A TRAP!
Gis, Can our Heralds introduce our Champions? :D
Your Herald could say who is to go next,
Then whoever is next writes a speech for his champion. ;D
It is how we did it in SCA.
When our baron came onto the field,
He had a procession behind him,
and our local Herald called out a really cool speech. :)
One of the first parts of the Jousting Day was planned to be a procession leading past the Royal "boxes" which will be on BOTH sides of the "arena" it would be great to have a herald call out every one.
I could have the royal Herald do this or someone from the knights followers if they have these. It is however up to the people themselves to write a (very) small intro, because otherwise it will just be a name.
Btw there are still around 10 seats empty in the royal boxes, if any royalty wants to attend...first come first serve.
The first rumours of a mystery knight also have eben circulating....I'll let you know when I am ready to share more information in regards to this.
Reserve a seat for my King Giorginetto and his Queen right in the front . After all with an army of pretty much 1500 klickies by now he commands resepct and might and his Champion with many years of experience is here to win
An opening title for his majesty ' Royals, Citizens and Peasants welcome in the name of God King Girginetto and his Queen Arnfasta. King of the Royal Kingdom of Iseroth and 5 more kingdoms. A dragon slayer and Jousting champion , never defeated by human nor dragon '...
An opening for King Giorginetto's Champion ' Royals, Citizens and Peasants welcome in the name of God King Girginetto's Jousting Champion, Dragon Slayer of Tiamat Dragon , leader of the King's Knights in the defeat of Yellow Dragon Knights Kingdom, Unbeaten Champion of the king , Sir Agnar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
;D ;D ;D ;D
BLA..BLA ::)..BLA...BLA ::)...BLA...BLA ::)
I hope your knight's skills be something more than soap bubles!!! >:D
My army will attack your little kingdom Grangelo , take no prisoners and burn it to the ground .... so enjoy it while it lasts.. bought another 80 black lion knights this weekend and some weapon accessories....
I am very tempted to say: Pictures or it didnt happen...but I won't!
I am very tempted to say: Pictures or it didnt happen...but I won't!
I need some time to set them all up as my collection is stored and will be set quite far from where i live. But i really hope it will be quite something to look at !!!! ;)
So I can finish my champion, who of course will win the tournament.
Right, first knight to wet his pants, more likely.
Hmmm? Some un-chivalrous comments seem to be circling around the room... :hmm:
Maybe there need to be guards to guard the guards of the Kings so they don't start something during the tournament. ;)

Un-chivalrous? But this is exactly the behaviour we have come to expect from your European Knights. Can you please explain where exactly we are failing in displaying the right customs? What is expected from us?
What is expected from us?
What are you talking about? ???
Well, i totally agree that the word "infidel" can be a little touchy these days. I just don't see it anywhere in this thread. ??? Maybe it was already removed.
...
I expect you to die, you plastic opposing knights! >:D
Just kidding. :-[

As Sylvia explains, please keep the comments light hearted! I would hate to be required to remove this entire topic for review, especially after all of the hard work that has been going in to it!
I am going to make a recommendation for the members that posted the negative words in their posts to change them or let me know what words can be replaced with more accepting ones.
Should I erase my comment? :-[
That is exactly how it was meant, Tonguello. I was the only one that use the i-word. It was just a little character play, to get into the mood of the tournament, shall we say.
I thought the use of that word through and made sure it was used with regards to fictional characters and not to forum members.
Dear Georginetto, I'm sorry if I offended anyone. But I am very curious as to why you post this now. What triggered you to say this at this point? After all it was days ago that the i-word was used and you yourself referred to my knight as arabic kebab. Why the change of heart all of a sudden?
That is a true out look of how this could turn into a bad situation! People who live in the United States are being labled as infidels, so it is a word not appreciated here.
I thought the word was used "in character" between one klicky and another, not to refer to real people.
I think I will agree with Martin on this one! It would be a shame to ruin this thread for a missunderstanding...Yes indeed!
back to the tournament all ;D ;D ;D
back to the tournament all ;D ;D ;D
back to the tournament all ;D ;D ;D
Sir Sigismund earned his knighthood when he defeated the slimy serpent of Slippery Bottom in single combat.
Together with the knighthood he was awarded a coat of Arms, black serpent on yellow field, to commemorate his victory, and the custody of Castle Slurpy.
Well thanks. What he hadn't been told was that the castle was also in the Swamp of Damp Regrets. He decided to dismantle the castle stone by stone, and move it to the nearby Pile of Concrete Edging Bricks.
A Partial success. What he had forgotten to tell the architect was that the castle would also need rebuilding at the same time. No wonder the quote was so low, and they didn't even clean the stonework.
Nonetheless the costs wiped out his small treasury, so he determined to rebuild his fortune (and eventually his castle) by fighting in tournaments across the length and breadth of the High Kingdom.
Hencely he set out, accompanied by his squire Sam, son Larry the Gullible, bowman Bill, and his scribe and coin-counter Fat Freddy, who always seems to be the best fed of the whole group.
Here they are seen crossing the Lawn of Infrequent Mowing.
What other adventures and perils will they encounter on their journey? Only time, and the author's focus and energy, will tell.
the Lawn of Infrequent Mowing.
Could you give me a closeup of your troupe? Then I can see how close I can make them from my own stashes!

Great ending!!!!
