Post by: Customizer on May 25, 2009, 13:22:27
Hi Pf,

ok here comes a new review from the poacher quad.

- A big bumper
- no light sticker
- at the box you can see a normal cord but inside was a bungee cord.
- nice body for customizing
- NO pullback engine

Enjoy the pics.

Excellent review  :yup:! You would think that they would have included both types of ropes for realism. 1 for lassoing an animal, & 1 for securing the trailer cargo, along with all of both types of ropes common accessories! Oh,the attention to detail including hairy figure chest with tooth necklace ! Is the quad a pull back, & let go design like the previous quads  ????

Thanks for the review, Bill.  I don't collect modern themes, but this looks like a pretty nice set.  I like the klicky.

Yes, thanks for the review!  The set looks good, although I, too, do not collect modern themes.

Until this, I hadn't noticed that Playmobil had not yet introduced an element of evil in its Adventure theme.  Poachers are bad guys in my book.

Thanks for the review, Andi.  It's a set that escaped me, too, so far.  Although I've bought the other quads, but this one isn't on my list.

Hi Friends,

ok forget the important thing.

NO pullback engine !!

I open the quad and use the pullback from the other quads the problem the color are green , red or white.
If you want to change the wheels to get the silver look, its not easy , i dont want destroy it.
I use the green one.

Another picture a quick custom with the body a Viking.

I have been thinking about getting this set, it has a lot of nice parts in good colours, I also love the cart behind the quad, I can Imagine the cart being used in a modern day morroco scene behind a donkey :)

Also: Is the quad not a lot smaller then the pullback ones?

Thanks for the review Andi.  :)

This looks like a rather simple set to customize. I like the klicky too. The cargo pants are neat.

Great Viking custom!  That's what I was thinking when I saw the klicky.

I have this set myself and really like the look of the quad. The new african sets are very detailed :yup:

Although I like the set a lot; I am rather disappointed that they didn't include the pull-back engine ...
Still ... I might try and get one; those pesky Quads are growing on me. I might even consider collecting them  :o

Hi Friends,

ok here is a little UPDATE.

The light green looks not so cool at the poacher quad , i used here the pullback from the Dino Quad it was silver, too !

Open the Quad with the follow steps 1. 2. 3. ! This was a easy way.

ENJOY the pictures.
