Some of these sets actually look interesting - especially IMO the Trojan Horse!
I agree Cap'n ...
Have you ever seen any of them in the stores?
Also, those Dragon figures you posted are quite interesting.
There are many many more details and secrets to play-big and international license and more.
I think this explodes the Museum thread,
As suggested by Richard and Indianna, this thread is for posting pictures of figures that are clearly not Playmobil, but are trying very hard to be. All entries welcome.

:lens: I'm pretty sure it's a Schenk. No other company got quite so brazen with their re-productions! >:D
I'm by no means an expert but as I understand it, aside from lesser quality plastic, the construction, indentations, dimensions, etc. are almost identical. That's why Schenk got shut down - copyright infringement. Identifying characteristics on the early sets is the lack of a little notch in the center bottom of the torso, flat feet, and what almost looks like a "rat tail" hair piece on the Schenk figures. Also, the Schenk klickys are slightly taller than Playmobil we're talking millimeters..... If the non-moveable-hand klicky you have has a straight waist but is virtually the same, my guess is it's a Schenk. The one pictured is pre-1981 style - I only have very early ones. Does anyone have pieces from the early to mid 90's? I'd love to see pics. :lens:

I just pressumed they were newer Playbigs.. ???

Egyptian cat worship in the temple continues into the present day.
It seems that the cat is as intrigued than us by this toy ;D
i had forgotten all about this thread richard started.Actually, Anne and I just suggested it. Full credit for starting it should go to Martin Milner!
:) i also collect images of fake playmobil pirates.
That row boat actually looks like Playmobil to me :o

How can a design team be SO lazy ???
:hmm: do you think i am to blame for this?I'll believe you! Gullible is my middle name!
:o do you think all these fakobils were done by people with the same idea - http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=14649.0
0) let me just say that i've been experiencing some problems in this site.
:toot: sometimes i have the feeling someone uses my password to post things totally against what i believe is right.
:) totally.
you realy want to see my NON Playmobil archive ?? ;D

.. playmobil's u.k. associate marx toys...
honorary curator of this interesting Museum!
Now I want the Sylvanian beekeeper instead :(
Uhm.. why?
apparently playmobil's u.k. associate marx toys did more than just change the name to playpeople. :hmm:
that also made some not-playmobil complements for the yes-playmobil sets. :o
this one is an ambulance made of safe steel (whatever that is) and there is talk about a castle.
Did you get the boat? I LOVE the boat.
Working on that, lol!!!! ;) Have to soften the seller a bit, he's not inclined to sell it yet..... :hmm:
You could not build a proper legion with Airgam sets.
The same way with playmobil, no?
Somebody ever saw this, Sbego Baellar? (http://www.sbego.com/en/types.aspx?bid=0&id=4)

You just have to buy 72 of them at a time.
Shame they don't do a theme I'm interested in. >:D
So they sell to stores? I think they would have a better time making things collectors want, not trying to cut in on geobra. Don't try to compete, try to complimentLooks that way. I agree, but I think the business model is rip off a popular playmobil theme to make money.
Looks that way. I agree, but I think the business model is rip off a popular playmobil theme to make money.
Selling to the likes of us would require research on their part. Makes me wonder though what the actual set up costs of moulds are if a rip off merchant is prepared to make these things for sale.
Also wonder at the endless fantasy axes and helmets that geobra produce but wont produce more historically accurate ones that collectors as well as children could enjoy.
You lament the lack of diversity, I lament the lack of realism in the historic sets, especially the medieval(ish) themes. If playmobil was producing stuff like it is today (ignoring the direct service and special edition stuff) when I was a child I would not be a collector now.
Lately the damn weapons you speak of seem to find their way into the themes which are supposed to be based on reality.
More historic peasants for our cities and less flashing lazer guns

Looks nice.. Probably about the same size?Improved version of Struxi, but just a little larger.
Just found another one but with a red flag.
And their "logo" is a rip-off of the "AIRFIX" logo...Bunch of thieves.
I wonder if they'd let me pay with fake money?Depend on the quality

My curiosity was piqued and I bought a few hats.
:o
Never heard of that site before though. Oh, doesn't even let me see that link without an account...
But that joker hat....
You might have heard of AliExpress? They ship to the West, but the same company is TaoBao in China (in Chinese) and Baopals in China (in English). At least I think ???
This seller is a bit annoying because they don't have an online 'store' so you can't browse everything they're selling easily.
