I have been to a flea market...
« on: November 18, 2006, 12:11:36 »
...and I found this blue Playmo carry-case with black inner trays, which is in very good condition without rips (not even on the window, which usually gets damaged first) and some nice contents for €10 alltogether:

That boat looks like Antex to me and the water well looks very nice, so I think it's a nice buy... 8-)

Wow! Very nice buy, Jean-Luc. 8-)
That is indeed quite a bargain. :yup:

The carry-case looks to be in excellent condition! :D

Are you sure the boat is Antex? I know the quality of plastic used in the really early sets was very different to what Playmobil use now. You must have quite a big collection of vintage Playmo by now, so I guess you'd be able to tell the difference. ;)

In the past I almost threw out some genuine old Playmobil pieces because I didn't think they were the real thing due to the difference in quality.

Are you sure the boat is Antex?
Hi Sylvia,

well, based on what I've heard about Antex it is a strong possibility; the colours which they used were sometimes quite different from the colours on the package, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was Antex... ;)

Hello, Jean-Luc ...

I remember a yellow Playmobil rowboat (I have one at our summer home), but I can't remember which set it was from. I looked on Heather Patey's DB site, but couldn't find it.

I'll keep looking ...

All the best,
Richard

I think I may have one. I know I had at one time.

I've been browsing through the Collector and I noticed that set 3570 (a small pirate set) has a yellow boat, so I guess it's genuine Playmo after all... :)

I was thinking 3550, but you're right, 3750.

A really nice find.  Wish I had that sort of luck!
