The original Playmobil castle ?
« on: July 22, 2007, 08:42:54 »
I started my big castle plans a few months ago, I also saw quite a few pictures of the old castle since then (3450). I had the old castle since I was a boy myself, but I remember it differently. I'm pretty sure I never had a balcony, I had flat roofs of dormer not the 30 06 210 with a peak and I didn't find 30 65 099 (roof gable end, framework, triangular with window) and the matching square one with door and window for below in my stocked away box either.
Recently I finally saw a picture of the castle which matched my memories. I couldn't see the box number, but is there anybody that knows more on this what looks to be the original old castle ?

I can't help on what the castle should be like, but can you find and post the picture you saw?  It would be interesting to see it.

This is the picture Collectobil and other sites keep giving :
But I don't have that balcony and those roofs + no trace of the klickies in this pictures either. I might have lost 1 or 2 bits over the years, but there are too many parts missing/different in what I have left.

I am not sure... ...but it looks to me like this is the backside of the box?

I have never seen this box. and as far as I know, the collectobil pic shows the castle as it has been released in 1977. It would be bewildering to have it in a later version with less equipement...
...playmobil never did this before the first target specials...  :P

looking forward to hear the experts comments. :)

This set does appear in the 1st Playmobil Collector 1974 - 2004 on page 230.

It is an exclusive German set dated 1978 and the set number is 3184.

Strange, must have been sold in Belgium as well, I don't think my parents will have travelled to Germany to get it.

I just checked : they don't remember where they bought it, but without a doubt not in Germany.
