This set is one of the rare instances where I've kept the box - but the box didn't have any date code stamped on it. The copyright on the box is 2006. Is it the same on the box with the green claws?

Both mine don't have the green claws.. They're slightly different, the printing...

Now I want one with yellow claws too! :hissyfit:

Don't you have any idea when you bought it? As for the copyright on box for the green claws it is the same, 2006. Now, I know the date code means that it was packed the day 183 of year 2010. I still have to check the yellow claws...

It would have been 2007 at the latest, I got them as soon as they were released in Germany.

It would have been 2007 at the latest,

I found the date code in my set with yellow claws images, 03307, which means day 33 of year 07 (February 2, 2007) but I doubt now that it contains a figure with yellow claws. Tim, it seems to me your figure is very rare and hard to get. According to some users in klickywelt there was never a deinonychus with yellow claws in a commercial set. The yellow claws just appeared on those deinonychus that were used for displays.
After all, set 4175 has caused headaches to many buyers, see what one of them in Germany got, a previous red amphibian vehicle with a different klicky. This set is from july, 2007. Look carefully at the claws in box, they are green. Anyway, I have a hope that my old set has yellow claws but I will never know, I will keep it MIB...

Very interesting, mine's not a promo it definitely came out of the box. With no date code on the box perhaps it was the first run before release?
Well at least if I'm going to have only one of the two I managed to get the rare one. I will have to track down a green clawed version.

You are a lucky man! But hurry up! the new deinonychus in set 5233 is supposed to have colored claws. I wonder if in one or two years we will have the same situation  ???
